Easy to Use even in older Device

These (WD) drives have Earned my Trust in them. This is a very good drive, for most types of uses involving either a Mac, or a PC. My DELL laptop—was overheating, even with its battery taken out—I needed to quickly back up its 500 Gbs of files I was unwilling to lose. In less than an hour, by using this drive, I’d accomplished the Backing-up, before the laptop became too hot, for me to feel safe using it. As long as this drive retains my files, the Laptop—whatever its destiny—is now ready to be worked on, whilst its data remains intact, as long as I give this (WD) drive its proper care. My experience with WD Drives, over the past Decade, has led me to always seek to buy and use them, exclusive from any other brand.

This was a great investment. The cost was less than a $100 and I able to take miscellaneous stuff off the hard drive of my laptop that was dying and moved it to another laptop but needed the external drive to park it until everything could be resolved.
