Have a Mac Air with limited memory. Bought this portable drive for back up and to store dated photos etc. Very easy to set up and this product is reasonably priced.

I have 6 of these ranging from 3 TB to 1 TB. I purchased the older ones a few years back and they are still humming. In fact, in 3 years have never lost one to failure. This one is half as fat as the older drives. Mich better size wise. I was surprised when I got it in the mail. It makes it easier to store and handle. Getting about 100 MBPS transfer speeds on my laptop via usb3. Happy with it. 5 stars and some tots for you little black drive.

Sadly this product did not work. I read reviews here and in other stores, it sound like it is an overall well-rated hard drive, Western Digital is a good brand, but like other hard drives they are sometimes defective. I reached out to Western Digital for help on accessing the drive, we discussed the issue over the course of 2 days and they couldn't figure out the problem. They told me to return it and I did. Best Buy had no issue with my return based on this problem.

Great external hard drive in a small form factor with good results. I hope it will continue working great for the next few years. It is very portable and makes no noise at all. Compact but powerful!

Needed to back up my drive, it was on sale also. Size is great, came with backup software, but I didn't need it, I ended up reformatting it. Speed was quick and price was right.

I love this hard drive. It is extremely easy to use and is very light when needed to be carried. As technology rapidly advances, l recommend having a backup or external hard drive. And bang for the buck is right here

For the amount of storage and the size of the unit I am very satisfied. Super easy to use and easy load files on. Just plug it in and away you go.

Always love WD products and their drives have never let me down. Needed some external storage for the PS4 to house large games and this has worked perfectly. We can have 7 larger games loaded at the same time and there's still plenty of room left keeping the PS4 bog free. It's been so much easier to play our favorite games when you don't have the hassle of trying to make room and redownload each time.

This portable harddrive has been an answer to prayer. Easy to use and very reliable so far. Time will tell. The compact desisn has made it very handy for our cell phone files.

I needed a drive to back up all my pictures and video I have, didn't need a massive amount of space as I'm just getting serious about my photography so I figured the 1 TB would be perfect. I like that it's so small, it couldn't be any bigger than 5"x5". I had just a little trouble getting the backup process to start but finally got it. The 1 Tb will last me the length of the 2 year warranty and then I can upgrade to a bigger one.
