The Easy Store external hard drives are very reliable. I have been using them for years, and I have never had one fail. The larger ones hold a huge amount of data.

This is one of the most reliable external hard drives available. Lots of memory to backup my entire desktop multiple times.
The only issue is that the cable isn't as secure as the USB is on the back of the drive. It has been made that way for years so hopefully in a few years they will upgrade it so tje connectors are no so small.

easystore 20TB external hard drives are the best

I have bought three easystore 20TB external hard drives over the past three years and they have all worked fine. I have them hooked up as external USB drives to a desktop with a Windows 7 Pro OS. I have a relatively low standard for large hard drives - don't crash and burn. My Seagate hard drives flunked that test. Best Buy easystore large drives are the only large external hard drives I buy now, when I need them and they are on sale.

Good price/was on sale and I received price-match reduction after purchase. Having purchased other WD drives I have a couple (14tb external) that have bearing noise but still work. Hopefully this one won't develop bearing noise in the near future.

As an amateur photographer, those portable 2-4tb drives kept running out of space. It didn't make sense to keep buying these small portable drives just for it to run out. Having to purchase a USB hub just to have access to all the portable drives made it cumbersome. So I ended up getting this mega external hard drive. I have already transferred data from three portables onto here with plenty of space remaining. Other than the occasional clicking, the drive runs quiet. It sleeps and wakes up with my computer. Transfer rate is fast. However, the best part was the price match guarantee. I bought this drive a few weeks back at $300. I was browsing through Bestbuy for Black Friday deals and noticed it had dropped by $50. However, it was also out of stock. But I managed to get a price match credit. A big win for me.

This drive booted tight up with no problem. It runs smoothly and silently. You have the option of installing the included WD software. The only issue is that my computer didn't recognize drives over 5tb. So i had to connect this drive to a different desktop,, which is making it awkward to load files on it from the intended computer. it is overall a great drive.

I purchased this storage device to archive all my Apple purchased movie and TV videos in one place. I thought it was a reliable pick as WD has always been my choice in hard drives for their dependablity. I take it with my on vacation and trips. It's Easy to carry and I don't have to purchase in house movies from places I stay. Great Product!

This external hard drive has been working great! It offers tons of storage. The only drawback is that is ticks and whirs a little bit, so it will vibrate your desk a tad while it processes data.

Purchased this as it went on sale as a whole house back up for 4 different units/backups. Partitions were a breeze, backing up 16TB of info took a few hours but well worth it. Easy to access, always pops up immediately and good wasy tech is always enjoyable. Thanks Best Buy for facilitating such a great purchase. With the added benefit of the total pro membership, getting any tech to try is a no brainer, this one though, is a keeper!

I shouldn't give it this many stars actually. The real question is "will it still be running 5 years from now when I need the data?"
But I do trust Western Digital much more than some other brands, not going to mention names.

WD Nailed It! Incredible Performance and Capacity!

Wow — this WD Easystore 20TB drive is an absolute beast! I can’t believe how much storage this thing has. Setup took seconds — just plug it in and go. The transfer speeds are super fast with USB 3.0, and it runs whisper-quiet even during big file transfers.
I’m using it for my entire photo, video, and backup library, and it’s handled everything flawlessly. The sleek black design looks great, and the performance has been rock-solid from day one.
If you need MASSIVE storage that’s reliable, fast, and easy to use — this is the one! I’m seriously impressed and already thinking about grabbing another. WD nailed it with this drive!

Really good external hard drive that I use to store large files and games. Really worth it especially if you could get it on sale. It does get loud sometimes and rather hot. You might need a small fan blowing through it if using somewhere even remotely warm. Otherwise WD does make good storage devices.

Works fine with my router. 130MB/s is what I got when copying files to it. It might be more but I didn't do a CrystalDiskMark on it.
20tb for the sale price is a good deal when I bought it.
It comes formatted at NTFS. I prefer exFAT for portables and I don't need any of the software which is usually just marketing gimmicks anyway. So I just formatted it and plugged it into my router for easy network storage.
Just basic advice for anyone who may not know. Do not move it and if you think you might get knocked over, have it laying flat. You do not want to move it while it's on.

I do not believe in cloud store for backup. If you lose internet, you lose your backup as you cannot recovery it when needed. So I have used these Easystore Drives for several years. You can back up specific data or a complete drive. Then store your data off-line to prevent corruption such as ransomware.
I have used seperate 4tb drives, one for each of my computers or different drives. However that requires grabbing multiple easystore units if you want to take them elsewhere. The last time I purchased the 20tb drive. Then created subdirectories for each of my computers and drives. Now only have to grab one easystore drive. I will be getting a second one for redundancy and keep it at my son's house.
The only con I have is that it uses USB to transfer so it take awhile to copy a large drive or the whole computer. So I start it in the evening and it runs all night.
Short of that, It is a great option for a removeable drive, or off-line backup.
