This drive has a larger amount of gigabytes for its size I can fit almost all my pictures until this one drive and even a couple of games The footprint is so small it fits on almost any of my computers and I would highly recommend this for anyone that needs a hard drive to store data

My old laptop started failing, and I didn't realized that my old hard drive still ran on mechanical parts. Upgrading to this solid state drive was the best choice I could have made! My laptop runs like it is brand new. The 240GB storage is more than enough to perform well. Highly recommend!

Works great if you remember to format the drive after install! No issues running windows 10. Solid snappy performance at a decent price. Absolutely recommend switching operating system from hard disk to ssd. It's the most noticable improvement goin from hard disk to ssd. Everything is so much faster with ssd

WD is always my go to brand for my storage needs. I needed an affordable SSD for a computer I built hastily to host work and it's doing the job really well. I think I remember getting this on sale so it was a no brainer. The speed of this SSD is on par with any other high quality SATA SSD.

Affordable, easy to install, good deal for an SSD drive. Highly recommend for someone who needs extra space on their PC, or someone who is using their PC for light work. This PC is excellent for Mining, and installing mining software like Eth OS. For the price, it is a good deal.

Upgraded my dad's (very) old computer with an i7-2600 and 8gb of ram with this drive and it gave it a new life. Don't underestimate SSDs! The system is now responsive while he browses the web, watches youtube, and does basic general tasks. I got this instead of a PNY for the same price because this one was available in-store. I would have gotten the PNY because it was slightly faster but in the grand scheme of things it would have been barely noticible. My dad is 100% in love with the upgrade. He used to get frustrated with how slow the system was, now he really can't believe this single item made a huge difference.

I bought it to restore a computer that I got secondhand without a drive. Not much to say about it. It's an SSD. It's SATA. It works. The price point was right for the system it was going into. Maybe not the biggest or most impressive drive out there but it got me out of the stone age and saved me from having to use an old fashioned spinning plate. The name "easystore" makes me think it was meant to store mostly static data, so I don't really know if having an OS installed as a primary drive was an intended use case. I have no idea what the write endurance is on this tier of drives so I hope it lasts a little while.

I have purchased several SSDs from Best Buy over the years and this is my 1st WD SSD. It works well. I did not need to clone the drive. I used this drive to power an old laptop and I did a fresh install of Linux Mint on the drive. It took a few minutes to load Linux Mint on drive and now my computer is like brand new, except a little faster than it was brand new. If you have a laptop with an old hard drive that is not an SSD you should spend the money and upgrade to an SSD like this. SSDs make old computers like new again. I have upgraded computers that are from 2007, 2009, and 2012 with SSD drives and they all run beautifully and buying SSDs saved me a fortune because I didn't have to buy new computers. Don't throw out old computers if they are running slow. Buy a new SSD first. That is probably all it needs to run well again in most situations.

I bought this drive to upgrade an old computer, didn't need a lot of storage capacity, and didn't want to spend too much money. This drive worked great, bringing new life to an otherwise obsolete computer. I think this is a decent drive for the money.

Perfect size for operating system install with some room for other programs. Not lightning fast, compared to other drive formats. Amazing price. Just needed a basic hard drive an for 36 bucks thisalmost couldnt be beat.

This ssd helped my older laptop perform so much better it used to lag just opening a browser but now its fast and reaponsive!

This is an excellent boot drive, especially for older PCs, I have two of them now in an old dell optiplex 990 SFF and in an Alienware x51 and it has made them boot at least 3 times quicker. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a rock solid boot drive!

Faster than an old 128GB SSD that I upgraded it from. Good capacity. Easy to install in an older computer that still uses SATA.

Got this on sale, although the memory is not super high it was purchased at an extremely good value. High quality fast storage at a budget price. It can easily hold your operating system for a fast boot..

For older machines I found the bottleneck typically to be the hard drive when you look in system resources. So using this hard drive to free up that bottleneck will dramatically speed up an old computer. I do this stuff regularly as an IT guy for residential and Commercial clients here in Middle Tennessee, so if you have a friend or relative with an older PC put this in install Windows 10 or 11 for free from Microsoft and they will be a big smile on their face when you're done!

Easy installation - Easy to clone old hard drive (needed some extra devices / products to help with this) - It was like my computer was exactly the same - all my programs and files were just there with the cloning process and now its super fast.

nothing beats the price if it is the cheapest. I got this just to replace my mom's laptop hdd and works like any other ssd, just the cheapest option for a surfing pc. i think i got this during a promo. perfect timing though

Its an affordable/reliable SSD for a laptop or desktop that doesn't support NVME M.2 SSD. Makes a huge difference in speed within Windows. Any computer, even more than 10 years old runs significantly better with one of these.

I had this installed by Think Geek as a replacement for my dead laptop hard drive. It is amazing. My old one took forever to boot up and this one flies. I highly recommend it for people who need a good, basic hard drive
