It started failing and not working anymore and i cant access it anymore

Don't buy this! After I saved all my data from several old hard drives to this it saved the data and let me open it just one time. After that, it became corrupt. I suspect, they want me to send it back so they can fish my data. I would like a refund!

I got the WD Easystore 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive to help me manage my growing collection of photos, videos, and documents. It's been serving me well for backups and extra storage. My Experience 1. Handy and Portable: I like that it's compact enough to carry in my backpack when I need to move files between devices. 2. Plug-and-Play: Setting it up was a breeze. I just plugged it into my laptop via USB, and transferring files was straightforward. 3. Plenty of Space: With 2TB, I've got lots of room for my files and backups. What I've Noticed 1. Transfer Times: When moving really big files, it takes a bit of time – but that's expected with this drive's specs. 2. Care Needed: I've been careful with it since it's portable – don't want any damage. Overall I'm happy with my WD Easystore 2TB. It's doing a solid job for my backup and storage needs.

I have the 4tb version of this drive on my series x in my theatre and haven't had any problems with it. When my WD P10 2 tb hard drive died today on my 2nd series x in my tv room, I decided to go with the 2 tb version of the one I have in my theatre just because it was so easy to use and plugs in by only a usb cable. The P10 hard drive I had stopped being recognized by my Xbox and would not even show on my desktop and 2 laptops when I plugged it into them. I bought this new drive today and it was delivered same day and plugged it right into my series x and the Xbox noticed it right away. The Xbox automatically asks you to reformat as soon as you plug it in. After that you can start installing games back onto it. Great drive for a great price! Love it!

I bought 2: One for my PS4 and XBox One: I have about 30 games on each hard drive, it's at about Half Capacity. Needless to say, that means each one of these bad boys will store around 60 games (Variety of Sports titles, Open World RPG's, some smaller and more linear RPG games, etc.) PS5 and XBox "whatever they call it" are both going to be backwards compatible. Therefore with one of these you can easily store all of your current gen games and play them on your next new system just by connecting the had drive via USB port and popping in the game disc (if not a digital copy) The size of the hard drive is somewhere between a deck of cards and a wallet. It's a little wider than a deck of cards but also a little thinner. So in conclusion. It's small. I haven't noticed any difference between playing games stored on this hard drive or the system itself. The load times, performance as basically identical. When you plug it into the system, it will ask you if you want to format it. Once you do this you can only use it for storing games for that specific console, so you cannot use this to store games for more than one console, or other movies, music, images etc. You can always reformat it in the future but it can only be used for one thing at once. These are always on sale. If it's not on sale, wait a week and it will be. A great product. Enjoy. P.S. They are also work great with PC :)

These external drives from Western Digital are very useful storage mediums. I do a lot of recording games for YouTube, and as those who create gameplay videos would know, those file sizes require a lot of storage space! It is very easy to run out, even if you buy a 2TB drive. I have never had any issues with these WD external drives. They're very durable, connect easily to your computer, have a reasonable copy/transfer speed using USB, and are very affordable for the storage space they offer. They very rarely suffer errors, and so they are an almost invaluable tool if you wish to record gameplay and entertainment videos or store any other sort of large data. You can even use them on your PS4 in a pinch for extra storage, and the games run directly from the drive! Not much more I can say. Just very useful storage tools to have around, when doing any type of video recording using your computer or any large data storage.

I am able to easily store my digital downloads onto this hard drive and free up room on my original platform. It has fast data transfers, and uses a USB-A cable that is included. I even bought an additional one for my desktop to store all of my pictures and videos on. It is small and easy to use. I like that it is portable, so I am able to take it with me to parties and display all of my pictures and videos for others to enjoy. It is lightweight, yet durable and small enough that it does not take up any room.
