Plenty of room for backing up photos and videos from cell phones. Backup software was easy to set up. But, the software would skip the default pictures folder on windows 10 laptop. To work, all photos and videos had to be relocated to a new picture folder under ‘my document’. Thought to be a glitch of the software.

Excellent value but IS a SMR hard drive

Please keep in mind this is an SMR hard drive and it needs time to reorganize data after larger rights or it will seem like its dieng and slow as hell. If you are moving media files to it, just give it time on idle and it will speed back up after some large transfers.

Great external portable hard drive for the price!

It's very easy to save many of my files to this drive instead of the hard drive on my computer. I also have a 4T version which was used to save the data from my old computer so it could be loaded onto the new one. Very good product.

I typically trust WD and this one is no different. I snagged it on sale for under $100 and it was a great price for the amount of storage. It stays connected to my PC 24/7 for storage and backups. It's fast and works great.
