I use it to primarily back up photo and slide shows for my Grandchildren so they will always memories to recall as they grow older.

Purchase this because it was on sale and also I needed this for my other PS4 system. I already had an external but it had to be plug to an outlet so I wanted something more convenient that didn’t need a wall outlet to operate. I have well over 250 games and this size is perfect for what I needed in a external device.

I had a 2TB Seagate external drive for that finally went bad. I was lucky to buy this drive and move everything over before the Seagate went bust. No problem on setting it up. I used their software which was easy enough. I eventually deleted that application because it ended up too chatty for my needs.

It is the right size I need for everything in a small pocket box. It is also really light that I can easily bring it with me wherever I go. I got this amazing deal back in Thanksgiving for a small personal treats. I have been using it since the day I got for storing all my loved pictures/videos!! RECOMMEND!

Bought this to make routine backups of files on my desktop. The backup app that comes with it does the job well. I like it because it is small (easy to store in safe place) and doesn't require separate power. Bought it on sale so I am happy with the price.

Looks nice and seems to function well. Been in use for about a month. Ample space for backing up the PC and archiving other critical files.

Easy Buy. Easy to use drive and value you pay for a 5TB drive. I would of given this 5 stars but one of the drives I bought was DOA.

I purchased this external HD as a replacement for my 2TB HD that was starting to run low on space after about 4 years of using it. I expect to get the same lifetime out of this HD. I've had it for a few weeks now and i haven't had any issues transferring data over.

I lost my last external drive and needed to replace. I've got multiple WD products and they never let me down so far. Easy to use and it is pretty fast. Downloading around 500GB of photos was easy, took some time obviously due to the size of the files but extremely happy with this product. solidly built.

It does exactly what it is supposed too. Keep in mind it is a lot slower than an SSD because it is a mechanical drive, however using as just a “bookshelf” for all my files per say, it works great. It was able to transfer 2TB of data in roughly 1hr 30min.

Works like a charm. If you want to be picky, it's a bit slow but who cares at least you have plenty of room to store everything and that is better than not having a back up. Worth every dollar spent.

Nothing to complain about. The HDD works as intended. Bought it for my son who used it almost daily for the last 6+ months. He is pleased with it. It is quiet although it appears to be always spinning making me anticipate the HDD’s end of life will come sooner than later. Good product.

This Is everything I will ever need, 5 Terabytes of storage is huge and I don't think I will every be able to fill this up in an entire year of shooting video. I have a 1TB SSD that was just about full, looking for more storage options I stumbled upon this, for the price it was an absolute must.

Western Digital is the best in my opinion. I use it as my primary non-cloud storage device between computers. So far works great. Take in account these Best Buy reviews cannot be edited in the future or completed more than six months after purchase. At least I have found no way to do it. Jan 23, 2021

I have always been a WD external hard drive user. The 5TB drive has allowed me to store more pictures and gives me a second form of backup.

This portable hard drive is perfect to use to store all my digital pictures. Rather than take up my computer space, all photos go to this. It is compact about the size of a clutch purse. I can take it to my parents and connect to their computer to view on the larger screen all the many photos.

One of the best external storage devices I have ever bought. I’ve bought many of these over the years. This by far is the best one I’ve ever had. Many were more expensive but have been nightmares. You never have to wonder if your data has been successfully transferred and saved. Tons of storage space!!!

Very easy to use and store your information. There does not include a case to carry or storage of the drive.
