This is a great, portable external hard drive. I use it to back-up family photos and videos. It’s good to take with you when you travel but still need access to video/photo files.

I used it to back up about 1TB of data over five separate copy chunks. All five copies went smoothly and at a very respectable rate. For the capacity, price, simplicity, and performance, this drive is a great deal.

My son purchased this for his ps5 and it was easy to install and now he has more memory

I bought this hard drive for my son to use for college. So far it's been a great buy. He has room to most of his school projects on.

Teachers are now filmmakers, so our hard drives were filling, fast. I've been using WD products for years; cost effective and reliable. It was, with a little formatting, easy to set up on a Mac. No issues to speak of yet - handles read/write during editing just fine. What's most impressive is the Best Buy service - we needed it overnight and it was shipped overnight. I'm not sure how they're doing it. I just hope it's being done safely, for the sake of staff. You guys really helped us in a bind and we're grateful!

Are usually purchase these for all my video storage so far so good no problems. Will continue purchasing these as storage units.

I have used WD external drives for years. There has never been a problem with any of them and all have been easy to use. Being over-cautious, I use them as both a primary and secondary backup, but have never lost data on any drive.

A must have if you a surplus of video games!!! The 500GB PlayStation 4 console only has limited storage and with a lot of these games with extreme graphics and long gameplay, it can eat up a lot of storage fast. This little device is the answer to the problem!!!

This external HD was purchased during Black Friday, as a Christmas gift for a family member. He has a lap top computer however he creates and publishes recordings and music. Hopefully this external HD will meet his needs for storage and free up memory on his laptop.

Drive is fast, large, reliable and easily recognized by your computer. What more could you ask for! I use it to back up important media like family photos, videos and personal music projects. Since some of these files can be very large, a big drive is essential.

I caught this while it was on sale prior to Thanksgiving to use for my XBox, what a steal! I don't notice any lag at all when playing/loading games, and 5TB allows for alot of storage. I wish I had bought another to use for my movies/pictures. I definitely recommend.

I needed some more storage for my pictures and decided on this portable backup drive to meet my needs. I do a lot of pictures for a tractor club that I am in and decided to put only the tractor stuff on one drive and my personal pictures on another 5tb that I have.

Excellent storage drive. Used the brand for more than 10 years now. Install, start up and use always easy. Storage volume is the largest I’ve seen to date. Purchased while on sale which make it my best purchase in years.
