I was in the store (Best Buy) Christmas shopping and saw this and new it was a good buy. I purchased it and my daughter connected it to her PlayStation 4 and she has a lot of memory for gameplay. This was well received. It was easy to connect and easy to use.

It does exactly what you expect. 5tb external HDD. Quick speeds, no issues after 3.5 months of use as a weekly back-up drive for my stream VoDs.

I needed a larger storage drive for my home media server. This worked out very well. I own hitachi , WD and sea gate earlier. Segate kept plying after 3 years so I have to switch and go for WD 5 TB. Got this in offer and liked it so far

Bought it to download years of business files. Easy to use. stored what I needed. kind of slow but it was probably all the files I downloaded.

The 5TB external easystore is being used as an additional backup for my dissertation work. You can't have enough external copies of daily graduate work in this day of cyberpiracy. I have several Western Digital products and they have not failed me over the years.

The size and price is great to store extra files without taking up soace on my PC.

Works great for all my needs storing games and backups.

Easy to use. Good capacity storage. Lets see if it will break with daily usage... so far so good.

I bought this to add storage space to my pc. It works very well for that purpose. I get a consistent 116 mb/sec transfer speed which is pretty good in my opinion. For the price getting 5 tb of space at a decent transfer rate is a steal in my book.

Been plug and play so far. No formatting needed, didn't need to install their software either. Transferred my games from my old computer onto this when my new pc came in. Had it for a month and a half now, so far so good.

Great external drive, connects and transfers files a good speeds. I like how well it connects and is easy to use on my smart tvs to watch my home movies and look at pictures. It's also good for on the Go with how small it is

This storage device for my laptop is just what I wanted. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I had a prior type (different company) that wanted to do its own thing and wouldn't let me do what I wanted with it.

This is a basic no frills mechanical drive. It is specially packaged for Best Buy, but some specs are similar to other WD drives. The case is not as nice as other drives and a bit larger overall. Just started using, so not sure how durable the drive is compared to others. The price point for the amount of storage makes it attractive, but not sure if I would trust is as a primary backup bouncing around in a backpack.

I bought 4 of these--2 for my surface pro backup needs and 2 for my husband's mac backup needs. Easy interface for both operating systems. Small, fast startup. Easy to use. Bought a double case for the 2 on amazon and fits beautifully. Bestbuy had the best price.

I use a MacBook, so I had to format the drive but it was a quick and easy setup! Also, the drive is much thinner than I expected. I especially love the Western Digital utilities which includes a password protection option.

I purchased the first unit and plugged it into my newer computer running windows 10. I noticed the drive light always remained lit and when I would try to shut down my computer the drive would not let it until I unplugged it. I waited one hour one time to see what would happen and it still did not shut down. Then when I started to copy files I found it to be very slow. Eventually it locked up my computer and I could not access it after that. I returned this drive and got another and when I plugged it in I noticed the same thing, slow file transfer and the drive light remaining on. I took this drive and did a complete format. It took a long time but the drive has been running great ever since. I recommend a complete format to get rid of any preinstall software and the drive should work fine.
