Great price for massive storage hard drive. Compact size and very easy to use. Just plug it into your computers usb.

I have been using Western Digital external drives for years and have never had one fail on me. Not so for other brands. The drive is very portable and easy to store when not in use. I have several to back up all my important files and photos. If you are looking for extra storage for your computer you can't go wrong with this drive.

Purchase Date: 12/02/2024 I have never been so enamored with a hard drive before! This Western Digital Easystore 5TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive is nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I plugged it in, I knew it was something special. The speed is incredible, the capacity is perfect, and the sleek black design is just the icing on the cake. Purchased this drive as an expansion drive for a new PS5. It can be used to store PS4 games. The drive has plenty of capacity, easy to install, and works perfectly.

Works perfectly used it to download more games on Xbox. I have access to 150 games installed and still have over 500GB of space left to install my next 4 pre-order before I'll even have to think about deleting anything for space. NOTE: I did bring HDD with me on a 5hr road trip, device was a bit warm in my briefcase on the passenger floor. Due to the increased heat device stopped working for 3 days, was going to use the warranty I purchased to replace it but it been fine every since and that was 4 months ago just FYI be cautious about where you leave it and get geek squad protection just in case...you never know.

Nice, compact 5TB portable drive powered by an USB port. The price is the lowest dollar per TB that I have found. No bloatware to deal with, it is truly a great deal

I'm using this to sort my files form all my different storage places - computer, 2 different external hard drives, and my 7 different online storage locations. It continues to work. It adapts will being plugged into whatever computer I have available at the time to work. Solid, dependable, and enough storage space to do what I need it to do.

I love the ease of portability and amount storage I am afforded with this portable hard drive. It is louder and constantly runs once plugged in, however it seems to work well. Hopefully, the life span of this drive will be good.

Works as designed. I use the WD - Easystore 5tb drive as part of my inventory of external/portable drives to backup systems and data. I already have 1tb, 2tb, and 4tb drives. They have all worked as designed and are very portable and do not require external power supply (a requirement of mine). I do not keep the drives connected except when needed so I do not have experience with long term active use. Good speed and with the above limitation the 1tb, 2tb, and 4tb drives have been reliable. I expect same with the 5tb although I have had limited (days) experience thus far.

Purchased to back up my photos from Dropbox. It's hard to believe how a tiny box the size of a hockey puck could hold so much data and work so well.

Seems like a solid unit, time will tell how reliable it is. I haven't came across any comparability issues as of yet, though I still haven't attempted to connect it to my android device, as the supplied cord is not usb c and would need an adapter to test it out.
