Nothing but a hassle???? Hmmm, you made the assumption without checking the product. The factory package can withstand normal shipping and handling. I have purchased several of these drives to be used for games. Reconnecting the drive from the laptop to the desktop is far easier that copying the files. I also use one for external storage on a Xbox series X console and it works awesome. These are great little drives for the price. I will be buying more. Highly recommend full format for best performance.

Great hard drive. Tons of space for not that much money. Also is very portable and easy to carry as well as being very easy to set up.

I always have good luck with WD External USB Hard Drives. This WD - easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is no exception. It installed without any issues and works fine with my SyncbackSE backup software. I bought this drive as a Best Buy Daily Deal, so the price was excellent. I have WD External hard drives in 1T, 2T, 3T, and now 5T and haven’t had issues with any of them. Although I wouldn’t recommend dropping them, they hold up well to some jostling and moving around. They seem to be sturdy, easy to use hard drives.

Took no time fill PS4 internal hard drive with games and the constant updates in the queue. Straightforward setup and was cheaper than other models with less capacity that are branded for PS4/XB1. It's no slower, could be faster than the internal drive, so there's no reason not to pick one up if you're running out of space. Install times are super annoying and I miss being able to toss games in and play them (updates from release are good but still irritating...seems games are less polished on release these days).

Best portable hard drive I have purchased. I use it to save all my photos and videos that take up space on my iPhone and Mac’s. I take a lot of pictures for my business and for personal and needed lots of storage space. This saves me time and I have plenty of storage.

It’s 5TB in the palm of your hand with no AC cord. Affordable. I have 4 of these and they are great. This is it until SSD becomes norm.

5 Terabytes is plenty big for me to store all my music, movies, and important files. I even have one for my game console. Perfect if you have to many games in your library and want to offset some to an external storage device. I recommend you grab some Velcro and stick it on the surface of this har drive and your system if it’s gonna be stationary and you don’t mind some minor adhesive residue on the surface when your finally decide to remove the Velcro.

WD - Easystore 5TB external drive is good for a quick backup of my MacBook Files. They are dependable and last long and is convenient to carry in my backpack. I highly recommend this drive.

Massive and quick storage in a fairly small package. Price was good and was in stock at our Best Buy store.
