WD High Performance and Big Storage

This simple upgrade to the 5TB drive cleared the issue. I have used WD external drives for more than 10 years and have enjoyed very high performance. I highly recommend this drive.

Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin

Two different machines, a month apart. Worked FLAWLESSLY. We got everything back. No problems. No issues. Get this. Sets up in five minutes, works without any struggles or worries. Tech support awesome.

Does what’s it’s supposed to do

I have a Mac so I had to reformat it as I wanted to use Time Machine - but that’s not an issue for me. And I partitioned the drive so I could back up files and switch between a PC and a Mac - and then have the other partition for Time Machine. But if you want it ready to go, then you may want to get something that is already formatted for the MAC. I’ve not had it that long to know how long it will last but - So far so good.

WD Easystore 5tb:Quality value external hard drive

Im also a fan of Seagate hard drives but the metal on Seagate's gets very cold and I ignotlrantly question longterm external hard drive health bc of that. My PC once stopped recognizing a WD hard drive but when after copying to another WD. I always recommend backing inportant data with 2 external hard drives but have had good results with WD and Seagate. Store pickup was smooth. Thanks

The WD drives I have purchased have been reliable for making clones of computer system and also for general backups. Reasonably fast on modern computers with USB 3.0 ports. Obviously if used with a USB 2.0 port is slower. But really, the price is right for 5TB drives currently. Every now and then some 10TB drives are on special sale but the 4-5TB drives are at the optimal price point in summer 2020. Note: SSD's can be faster but cost a lot more.

Great External Hard Drive!

I'm using it to back up my laptop. So far, so good. Installation was smooth; backup software works well. Drive feels solid and well made, but is still extremely portable. My old brain is still trying to wrap itself around the fact that something so small can hold 5 TB of data. Anyway, I have always found WD to be a quality, reliable brand, and so far, this one is no different.

WD External Hard Drives

I have 3 other WD hard drives and have never had any problems or failures from any of them. I use 2 of them for PS4 storage and the other for desktop PC backup.I think you get a lot of storage for the price.
