What I was looking for, but actually with more capacity. This is perfect to keep attached to my docking station or throw in my bag for a daily back up of my work. I also use this as a portable filing systems, taking advantage of folders and sub folder so I can also save files on here instead of just my laptop. This works in the background seamlessly and perfectly. On top of that it holds 5TB! It’s still a nice small size.

A good small hard drive that is fast and light. Very reliable little device and at 5TB you won't run out of storage.

This drive is great, It allows me to move large amounts of data in a small package without the need for an external power supply. I wanted a drive that I could throw in my backpack and move large video files around...this drive is great. I've stuck with WD drives over others like Seagate because they last longer and have less issues. I would recommend this over any other drive manufacture and the 3.0 USB speeds help speed along the transfers

Model: WDBKUZ0050BBK-WESN SKU: 6356880 I've owned it 6 months. USE-CASE: This is a tertiary backup device for my purposes. I use it when I am backing up personal, family, friend devices prior to mods, upgrades or repairs. My primary backup is a Buffalo with Mirrored drives. I do not rely on portable drives as a primary backup as I had a couple of WD go bad in 2013 and 2014. These are great drives within the limits of an HDD. ******* PRO ******** + Value - picked it up this 5TB during a December 2019 sale for roughly $80+tax. + plenty of space without needing to concern myself with space limitations for temporary device backups like USB sticks. + relatively fast for an HHD (compared to my SSDs), doesn't heat up the way other externals can with heavy data transfer and light weight ******* CON ******** - ?????

Perfect! I purchased this for my PS4. Very user friendly, even for a novice, such as I. Simply connect it to the console, go to PS4 settings, then storage, format hard drive, done & done. I have had it for almost a month and haven't had the first problem yet. Plays games, music, pictures. Everything I ask of it, it does. When I catch them on sell again, which Best Buy has often, I'm getting another one for my desktop for backup.
