Ample storage capacity. Nice price point. Easy to down load.

With terabytes worth of data on our 4TB drive, we needed something that could back up everything at one time. We have 1TB external drives also, but this one makes backup easy. It's quick, reliable (so far) and easy to transport. All for under $100. As long as you are diligent, it becomes your "cloud" for a much cheaper price.

I bought this WD 5TB external as my last storage device for my Xbox One console. I was running out of space on my first external 4TB hard drive so this investment will help me finish out the life cycle of the Xbox One. Please note that this review is only for using the external on an Xbox One. All I had to do was unbox the external, plug it into my Xbox One's USB port, format the drive through the Xbox and I was good to go. All-in-all the process took no more than five minutes and I was able to start moving games and downloading updates to the new drive. It works like a charm and I do not notice any delay when playing games from the drive. For the price you really cannot go wrong either if you are like me and you want to keep all of your games downloaded and not delete them when you are done. 5 External Stars out of 5!

Great performance so far. Is not crazy fast but it gets the job done. I needed the sufficient space to get my stuff out of the different clouds I had and paid, out of privacy concerns. So far it has been great and im thinking to boost my local networks resources, create backup of this and keep all my information private and out of the cloud.

This WD hard drive is a great value. In a 2,5 external hdd holds 5 TB. It's is stick into a bag or a pocket and have to plug into any PC trough a single USB 3.0 cable. The read and write speed don't go above 90 Mb/s. For a hdd this is acceptable.

Great product and price, but wait for the sales as regular price is high. WD makes a very stable and fast drive, and this powerful drive takes up only a small space. For an extremely fast drive, get a flash drive... but those have significantly less storage capacity and are a lot more expensive. Very pleased with this external hard drive!

I've had the Easystore 5tb External Drive for a yr & so far it has been reliable, easy to use & was a great price. I'll be purchasing another one for my other tv & laptop.

I do not like to save my pictures and videos on iCloud or on my iPhone so instead I download them onto a smaller usage USB and then upload them onto the WD - Easystore 5TB External USB Hard Drive. It is easy to use and a good price for having so much storage.

I this was an addition to other portable drives that I own. The 5 TB drive,at the price I paid, was a bargain. The drive has been in operation continuously since my purchase, without any problems. It's compact size makes it ideal for travel, and the interface allows me to transfer data quickly. I am very satisfied with this drive.

I needed a portable hard drive in a pinch to repair a damaged cloud storage drive. Turns out I needed this more than just a pinch. The 5tb drive is quick and plenty of storage as a daily drive in my briefcase.

I am absolutely obsessed with this pocket sized 5TB drive. It is incredibly fast and easy to use. There is only one issue - it comes formatted as NTFS - so you HAVE to reformat if you are going to use MAC. Normally drives are formatted FAT32 so PC or MAC can use them out of the box. Other than that - great drive at a great price.

It's exactly what I needed. I was running out of storage space from my other portable hard drive and needed to get another one. I also got this on sale for a good price. I had no issues using this external storage. It was easy to setup. Thankfully, I didn't run into any issues with this portable hard drive.

I had purchased the WD Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive for my PS4 Pro because the previous external hard drive became defective. So far, it works with no issues and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend giving this external hard drive a try if you're looking for an external hard drive for your game console.
