The WD - Easystore 5TB External USB drive was on sale recently as a Best Buy Deal of the Day. I needed the extra space for my backup and I could not turn down the excellent price. The USB 3.0 has great transfer speeds and for this price I was thrilled to purchase it. Thank you Best Buy for keeping the price so reasonable.

The portable hard Drive is just the right size for on the go, and yet the perfect storage size for videos and all my photos. I definitely recommend this 5TB External hard drive.

Hard to believe how small drives are getting these days. This one is no exception and it's quick and easy to use. Always been happy with WD drives and haven't had anything but good experiences with them.

Works well even in a Rapspberry PI, but requires a separate USB3.0 powered hub, separate power supply from PI. best way to create a NAS storage. the power down function works great and is not really noticable. Fair price to have redundand backup of data.

Good for bulk backup. Huge storage in compact form factor. OK speed for mechanical drive. Easy and fast format to MacOS.

This external 3.0 portable drive provides enough memory to back up multiple laptops. It is convenient, fast, and affordable.

Needed more storage on my ps5, it works and the price was great. It is basically plug in play in my situation. Cant speak on using it in other applications other than gaming. Works great

I do at least 3 total system backups that I want to save. I backup once a month (all files, pictures, etc on my desktop) and follow this pattern every month. The oldest is deleted when I need to make a new backup. This drive is big enough and dependable to do what I want. I take it with me when I travel.

Fairly fast, huge storage for size, great price. It's not the best option for external storage, but if you move it between devices frequently, it's a nice feature to not need an external power adapter. I wish the external casing wasn't so bulbous and ubiquitous though. I have trouble telling if I'm holding it upside down or right side up since they feel the same. I wish it was flatter on the bottom so I wouldn't have to flip it around half the time when plugging it in.

Compact, efficient and mobile storage device that is one of the best on the market. Couldn't be happier with it. I've bought this particular model multiple times over the past few years and have never ever had a problem with it. Ease of use is one of it's strongest features. It's a great bargain especially when on sale.

Nice size for the amount of storage. It's just a little bit larger than a pack of playing cards. Data transfer appears to be fast. However I have not measured the speed. Appears to be built very solid. I have used it to copy files from my desktop, laptop and USB drives without any problems. Great price for a 5T portable drive.

Plug, and play so easy, and compact, and very affordable

Love it. My laptop was on it's last leg and I needed to transfer everything to my new computer. A+. It's quick and compact. 5TB is a ton of space too and might be overkill for my needs, but at least I won't have to buy a new hard drive for a while.

One of many reliable Western Digital drives I've owned that have yet to fail. (Unlike the "SG" brand.). Also unlike SG external portable drives, this WD drive has tiny rubber feet to isolate it from the surface it sits on: this only prolongs life and helps keep it running at a near-silent sound. At $20/GB, this is a great value.

For some reason this drive came with old outdated software and drivers that doesn't even belong to it. But other than that I can't believe how well it performs and it's huge for less $ than a 1TB. Going to buy another one

Over the course of time, I got 5 of these so each of my 3 kids has one for their personal use (school work, games, pictures etc.). The fact that it has tons of memory and the size is convenient! They can easily unload information from their IPad, computer, to this unit to free up space on their other equipment.
