I purchased this about a year ago. I use this as a secondary drive for my 512gb laptop. I run most of my games off of this thing and it does great! I have played games like the new MW2, Battlefield 2042, and R6 Siege. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well this thing works for games. Now, I sometimes experience slightly slower load times for the larger games, but I have yet to experience any gameplay issues due to running off of this external. If you are using a laptop for gaming and find yourself running low on space all the time, I would strongly recommend giving this bad boy a try. I works great for me.

Great external hard drive. As the name suggests, it is an easy way to store your files. I have a mac and had no issues (though I'm not using it for time machine). It automatically prompts you to install "NTFS for Mac" which prevents you from needing to reformat it. Definitely recommend.

A great portable drive that has ample storage space. I use two of them and mirror the files, this ensures an affordable and reliable backup solution. They are easy to transport and use. The transfer speeds are acceptable and I will continue buying as I need.

Hooked this up to my PS5 and have all of my PS4 games on it. It's worked flawlessly so far and freed up a ton of room for my gigantic PS5 games to stay on the SSD. Can't hear it, doesn't seem to have any downsides. I'm very happy. WD is easy to trust!

Been using WD portable HD's for some years now. None have failed. Very reliable in my experience. The current models are plug and play. They don't even require file the format mapping the older ones used to need to accommodate larger files. WD is my go to for HD's.
