Backs up my data. Easy set up. I set it to back up my data automatically. This external hard drive works great with my Windows 10. I had no compatibility issues.

This Western Digital 5TB portable hard drive is a Great Value for Storage. Compact sturdy and fast. Makes an excellent addition for my in field on location photography work.

Purchased to use for game storage for an Xbox one system. Extremely simple to hook up, designate as the primary location for storage or simply move games from the internal drive to it, and take the drive with you. Definitely worth it.

This is small and compact! Very easy to use and transfer files! I transfer about 20k photos and still had more than enough space left!

I've never had issues with external hard drives. This was a decent price and I got it for gaming consoles and it works perfectly. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is simply because I have not had it very long. If I were to come back and a couple years from now and update the review the score when probably change for the better or worse but so far we're all good here!

Totally amazing portable hard drive. I use it regularly with no problems at all. Iy's tiny in size, and unbelievably inexpensive.

I got this after reading several reviews. I needed something portable and with enough space to backup my entire laptop (2.5 tb across two internal SSD drives plus a Windows image.) It works great, fast and reliably. I've used it twice to restore a system image without issue, which is great for peace of mind. Plus I can make a full PC backup in less than one hour, which I think is fast The backup software that you can install is not worth it. I just use the built-in windows backup. The read and write times are around 100 for most things. For a HDD, I think that's fine. I recommend this if you need a portable drive with lots pf space.
