Works fine and the extra Tb over a four Tb version is an economical benefit. Western digital drives are reliable and this one is a very good value and definitely worth buying.

I use the external hard drive to store media files as well as serve as a backup for my system. It works on both my Mac and pc system. It is convenient and small for me to take on travel.

A great value for the money and works well for storing PS4 games and playing them on PS4/PS5.

If you want a lot of storage (5 TB) in a small space and with a reasonable price, this is a great choice. I've used similar (2 and 4 TB) WD drives in the past for offline storage and have never experienced a failure, so I have high hopes for this one's longevity. It's not super fast (though it's plenty adequate). It also doesn't have hardware encryption which is fine by me. The primary value of a large capacity drive is bulk media/photo storage so encryption isn't needed and could hamper data recovery if there ever were a problem.

Love it! It does the trick and has held up fine and I still have plenty of space to load more. I Don't like how it doesn't have an eject mode/ feature because im worried about the files getting messed up but other than that I love this thing Life saver. Fairly priced as well

People can say what they want non ssd hard drives but these hard drives they last me longer compared to ssd hard drives which I was told lasts 3-5 years for ssd hard drives I’m not spending 400.00 or more on ssd hard drive go buy another one in few years these hard drives last long for me as long you take care of them I have dark drive like this still works over 16 years now it’s price tag that will turn people away you take good care of your stuff as I do this will last longer time to ssd hard drives I recommend this is it affordable no is it worth it yes it

I use this portable hard drive to backup all of my pictures and documents. Easy to connect, eject and transport. Lots of storage space. Will probably buy another one.

Plug and play. Transfer rates were at expected levels and I also tried playback of videos connected directly to the TV. I've not had any issues along the way. Great backup device.

I got one of these when Best Buy dropped the price to $89. At that rate, it was a steal. It's a quick and small portable drive that moves quickly and stores a lot.

5TB is a lot of storage. Does the job for quick backups. Nice portable drive does not need an extra power adapter. It's a physical disc drive inside, so do not expect fast speeds.

Since I am an avid gamer I needed more storage (so as not to slow my system) because most games now are starting to push 100gb and you only have a 500gb or 1tb console. Well needless to say when I saw the deal on this 5tb external drive I had to jump on it. I was expecting something huge but to my surprise its about the size of a wallet and light. It came with the correct cable and was very easy to use, just plug and play. I've only had this since black friday but so far so good.

Use this hard drive to upload clips and pics during events. Have 4 of them and they’ve always been reliable.

Great purchase! Can't beat the price for this much memory and Western Digital is as reliable as they come with hard drives. I look forward to using this hard drive for quite some time.

These things are life savers. I use them all the time to store photo and video. Whether on the road or at home these are just great!
