It hasn’t failed me yet. So far this has done a great job the only thing I needed to do was format the hard drive for my computer since it didn’t have the updated installation for the newest update for my MAC. That was easy to do because WD has a step by step video online about walking you through the formatting process. Super easy and this hard drive is definitely worth getting.

It serves as great storage for all the tons of games I download. I don't try to run games off of it so I can't speak for whether or not that's possible (depending on the game). It's not designed for that anyway. I use it as storage for my files and it works just fine. I find USB 3.0 to be fast enough for me. Is SSD much faster? Probably, but I'm not spending that kind of money to save a few minutes.
