This is a great value and was easy to install ONLY after I unplugged my other WD Easystore 4TB usb. This new drive was not recognized by my Windows 10 PC until I removed the current one. Simple solution, but was not apparent till after numerous attempts trying all other fixes on reddit, Youtube, etc.... Lack of included troubleshooting instructions is a negative and I sent back a previous purchase because of this, but bought a second drive thinking the first on was defective...

I purchased the Easystore device because my other WD device (Passport) was running out of space. I do vlogging and store my data on a physical storage device and the 5TB on this device was needed. My only issue is that it doesn't offer security / password protection like other WD storage devices. Even the WD website indicates this. I wish I had known this prior to buying it to replace my WD Passport portable HD, which has the PW protection. Sadly, I can't return this device because I already transferred everything from my WD Passport to the WD Easystore. I do not recommend this storage device because it does not have security protection. Think bout it. Would you buy a cell phone that doesn't have password / security protection features to prevent others from unauthorized intrusion / access to your cell phone? I hope WD updates their "WD Security" software to include Easystore devices.

It was exactly what I needed. Allowed me to move non essential files to a portable drive. It loads instantly upon connecting to pc! Easy to store and use.

I use my Easystore literally every day. I'm very happy with it, never had any issues. It has been moved around a bit, something I was worried about, but it has been just fine as long as you take care of it. I am a graphic designer and work largely off of this hard drive with no issues. It has ample space for all of my files and allows me to keep all of my documents off of my laptop to help with speed. Recommend!!

Using this as external hard drive for ps5, storage PS4 games and ps5 games so far excellent performance no issues working as described.

I just love it, it has a lot of room for my games. I’m using it for my Xbox and it runs perfect. Nothing to complaint about it

We are using this external hard drive as a back up for our PS4. Perfectly compact, I can't believe this tiny thing has 5TB of storage.

The WD Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive in black I purchased new works great. I have been using this 5TB Portable Hard Drive to backup video files and it's performance has been satisfactory. - The drive has a little white light that turns on when it is powered up. The light will flash during use. - Using a total of 1.89 MB of space on the drive right out of the box is the installer WD Discovery.dmg for Mac and the installer WD Discovery for Windows. - The included USB cable is about a foot and a half long.

It's fast and great. It allows options of different format that could be compatible with both Windows and Mac OS.

A much need storage space for the precious memories and data that you do not want to loose. Was easy to setup up and use
