Recently got an Xbox series S And if you're looking for an alternative to SSD cards this is perfect. For context I have a current gen Xbox and a 5tb external hard drive that is a "full" sized hard drive and requires it's own plug into an outlet. I did some YouTube searching and talked to some tech folks. These hard drives are portable (just uses 1 usb slot on the system) and swift with speed. I purchased 2 of them so my Xbox has 10TB of additional storage(9.7 after settings) it's well worth it.

I have a windows and a mac machine, and I am able to use this on both of them. The key is to use the correct format which supports both the systems. It is compact and connectivity is fast as per the specs. The only complaint I have is the disk spinning noise sometimes even when it is not in use.

Does what it should! Can’t complain! Easy to use too! Just plug and play. I use it for my Xbox Series X and it works wonderfully.

Purchased this hard drive last month. The download and set up took less than two minutes. The size is convenient for travel. I wish it come with a case. But i have just been using the clamshell from the manufacturer packaging to hold in while in my laptop case until i find one that fits. Once running it it kind of loud and vibrates which is slightly distracting. Made of sturdy material

I am a photography enthusiast and needed more storage space for my RAW image files which take up a lot of space. I previously had good luck with the Western Digital brand so I went with this one to use as a backup for my desktop drive. I've had the hard drive for several months and never had an issue with it. It has fast data transfer and operates flawlessly. I Bring it with us as a portable backup when we travel in our RV. The moving around hasn't bothered it. WD is always reliable.

Power glitches from our local LA utility company meant our video/audio studio kept losing hard drives (and occasionally entire computers). While we have a vast collection of pro-grade external drives, these little 5TB WDs are inexpensive, work well, and are an excellent way to back up data when you're really in a bind.
