I love it! Before purchasing this device, I was using desktop external drives, and I used to be so frustrated when I would be traveling and not have documents I needed at my fingertips. With the WD Portable 5TB, I can just slip into my laptop case and off I go, documents and all. Unlike desktop external drives, this device is so quiet, and there is no delay when launching the drive to view or store documents, photos, videos, music, anything. I highly recommend purchasing this device. The price is definitely easy on the wallet too!

Recently got an Xbox series S And if you're looking for an alternative to SSD cards this is perfect. For context I have a current gen Xbox and a 5tb external hard drive that is a "full" sized hard drive and requires it's own plug into an outlet. I did some YouTube searching and talked to some tech folks. These hard drives are portable (just uses 1 usb slot on the system) and swift with speed. I purchased 2 of them so my Xbox has 10TB of additional storage(9.7 after settings) it's well worth it.

I’ve bought a lot of these drives as cheaper than internet options to backup and transfer many terabytes. Once you reformat them, they work exceptionally well. I always travel with a couple of them in my pack.

I am a photography enthusiast and needed more storage space for my RAW image files which take up a lot of space. I previously had good luck with the Western Digital brand so I went with this one to use as a backup for my desktop drive. I've had the hard drive for several months and never had an issue with it. It has fast data transfer and operates flawlessly. I Bring it with us as a portable backup when we travel in our RV. The moving around hasn't bothered it. WD is always reliable.

This thing is a whopper @ 5TB. Great for laptop backups and carrying your movie collection when you travel.
