I have about 8 of these drives of various sizes from the time when the 1 TB model came out and so far none of them have crashed yet. I use these to plug into my samsung TV and roku box (I have a few of these drives) to watch my saved content. I plays my 4kv video files just fine on my devices. I get about 150 MB transfer rate when moving large files around between this and my new computer.

The speed for transferring files is fast and I get a great performance when gaming with games downloaded on this hard drive. I definitely recommend it for pc gamers with low storage space. Will definitely be picking another one of these up.

Portable, Affordable and Fantastic HD

The portable form factor is what exactly I needed so I can put it into my small safe along with other important items. Has been working all these months without a flaw. I back up everything twice a month to this portable hard drive and had no worries about losing data.

It's light and the slim design fits easily in my laptop bag. I have a Mac and had to reconfigure it, which was an easy process thanks to the step-by-step instructions found on the WD website: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20821. It comes with a USB connector, and I had to buy the USBC cables for my daughters' laptops, as I purchased one for them as well. I am currently using it to back up my laptop every week, and I love the fact I can access my files on my Mac or my husband's PC.
