    Very convenient drive to move files between computers or to store a duplicate copy of important files in a secondary location. On my Windows 10 laptop, this drive immediately appears in your computer folder making it very easy to copy files to the drive. Also, this drive serves up the files effortlessly with the USB 3.0 interface. This drive is great for work of school because of its small size.

    I have been using these WD external drives for several years now for both off-computer storage, and periodic archive of nearly 300,000 photos and a bunch of archive documents I wouldn't want to lose if my computer suddenly fails. So far, these drives have not failed me and allowed me to recover from archives after several years hiding on my dusty cabinet shelves behind other things I have squirrelled away. I have had poor experiences with other manufacturers, but so far so good with this product. I should warn buyers that when using it as primary storage, it may take a bit longer to open files than when those files are stored on the main computer. Got to be patient.
