holds a lot of photos my son bought his first and told me about it.

Bought it for my teenage son to extend his PS4 storage again. His previous external drive was WD as well. He says it works great and has no complaints.

Western digital products always works the best among other products in the market. It is consistent and I never loss data even unplugged the usb cable suddenly

I got one of these for my parents and one for myself for backing up important files, apps and pictures. Got it for 50% off during cyber Monday even and it was worth the $90. I am not sure if I would spend $180 for it when you can buy a 6T internal for the same price. On sale, though, good buy.

Item does exactly what you need. Stores files fast and has room for plent of them. No complaints.

I ordered this for its value, but the quality is nowhere near as good as my WD MyPassport. Three times I’ve had to format it to my Mac, and all 3 times there have various issues- missing files (huge deal since I’m a photographer), unable to eject, desktop duplicates, software not responding, etc.. Maybe it’s an iOS thing, who knows, but I specifically bought this one because I’m aware of Mac formatting issues with other external hard drives. If I hadn’t spent so much time googling, crying, shouting profanities, desperately trying to get it to work properly, I wouldn’t have missed the return deadline... and that’s exactly where it would’ve gone, right back to the store. I’ll give it whirl on my M17R4, but if it still gives me trouble I’m going to take it out back and joyfully show it a proper Office Space demise.

Simplicity itself... I purchased several of these to act as an additional backup for my business server. I have always had great luck with Western Digital and this drive is no exception.

I bought this back out several laptops and a desktop computer that I have in my house. Probably more storage than I’ll need, but you never know.

Bought this for my daughter who is starting college in the fall. So far, its done everything its supposed to do. Lets hope 4 years of nursing school doesn't fill up 5T.....

This drive was much quicker than I expected! Use it to backup data from my computer and the transition was smooth; no mechanical noises! Definitely worth its price.

I use this to expand the storage of my PS4. I can now download as many games as I'd like without having to worry about low storage space becoming an issue.

Have had excellent response from Western Digital products and found this portable hard drive meets my expectations of a quality product. I use as a backup for 1000's of photos.

With 5TB, you can format it half for Windows and half for Mac and interchangeably in between. It went smooth in both system and file transfer is reasonably fast. Great looks too.
