We bought this for external storage on our ps4. Setup was super easy and it has worked flawlessly. A simple reformatting through the settings tab on the ps4 was all it took.

Ordered as external storage for the PlayStation and works just fine. Obviously not as fast as an external SSD but sacrifices can be made if I can save my entire PS4 library.

Fast, light, and compact. The backup software works pretty well (but isn’t required). There’s nothing really to complain about.

I have been using WD external drives for years and years. It is definitely my choice for backing up all my work. I do graphic art and want to make sure my pics are well protected. The drives have always been reliable and I have never experienced a problem. Highly recommend for external storage. I purchased this drive on sale prior to the holidays. This is a 5T drive.

Enormous disk space with an unbelievable price tag. The footprint is small and so far it's had no errors at all.

I previously had tried the Seagate Backup Plus 5TB portable drive from Costco, but found that the transfer rates vary widely between drives. Out of 5 drives, only 2 had speeds that can be considered USB 3 speeds. The other 3 barely met USB 2 speeds. Needless to say, they went back to Costco. It would seem that Seagate is putting whatever drive mechanisms they have available/left over at the time into those Backup Plus drives. But so far, (knock on wood) I have not seen this kind of wide variability in transfer rates from the Western Digital drives that I have owned (this drive included).

Great product for increasing your video game console storage space! Can store hundreds of PS4 games now! No need to delete and move around games to conserve space.

Exactly what I needed for my son to use with his Xbox. Works well and stores everything safely without fear of losing anything.

Absolutely a must have for your gaming system. I have all of the games uploaded onto it and it made my system run so much better. I would definitely recommend this purchase.

tons of space without tons of money. I needed backup space for PCs. I bought several of these and the work just fine. Can't beleive how small they are for the storage size.

It works fantastic, quiet, and very light. It was very easy to setup and get working on PS4. Highly recommended for anyone who has space issues on their console.
