Have you ever had a hard drive failure? If so you can appreciate the need for routine backup of your files. We purchased the Western Digital easystore 8TB from Best Buy and now have routine backup for our PC's. The particular model we purchased is 8TB allowing for worry free, regular backups. It is very easy to use and instantly gets you backing up your data. It also makes for an excellent addition to storage space expansion. Get a WD easystore and stop worrying about backups.

Product was easy to use and is wort the price. I do a lot of editing and video work ao I neec a lot of space and memory. It is great product to use.

The HDs in this unit are the white label red drives. Cache and rpms, speed test - everything confirms red drives. The enclosures are very easy to shuck, and if you are careful and make sure to keep the parts, you can reuse the enclosures for other drives. Have two of these running in a Synology 418play and no issues with setup or configuration. Great drives for use in a NAS, or for use in the case as an external HD, and hard to beat 8 TB for the sale price.

Great price for an 8 TB drive. I have several computers and two cellphones I need to back up pictures on. This allows me to do it locally.

I have bought several of these and am amazed with how well the drives performed. I have tons of data and needed the space. These drives perform the same for me internally or externally. That is just amazing. They are not designed to be used internally in theory but they are internal drives in an external enclosure. Highly recommended. I bought the drives made in Thailand and each as the 256mb cache. They are all so far the RED NAS drives.

Huge storage in a tiny size and affordable price; runs quieter than older versions and competitors as well. Very simple to set up and use.

I use this product as a backup storage to store ps4 game information on in conjunction with my ps5 system. It works very well about 90 to 95 percent of the time . Occasionally I will get a message saying that it was not shut off properly and it repairs itself with a small patch or update. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars. It certainly has more than enough storage for what I am using it for and performs great!

Great backup size for a reasonable price. Works with USB 3.1 without the additional price for USB 3.2 disk drives.

You will need to download WD cloud but the set up process is very easy. The ability to access your files is very easy and would recommend to store files or even to backup your computer.

I bought this thinking it was network ready. Well, turns out it only has USB and only works with my computer. I fly drones and I video all my flights and take hundreds of pictures in RAW, JPEG, etc. When I ran out of room on my present hard drives, I knew I needed a lot of storage. Well, I’ve loaded over a year’s worth of videos and pictures on to this massive hard drive… it still has 5 Tb of space left. I do not need its automatic backup. But I set it up anyway and it backup my complete computer without any problems. Well worth the money. Cons: runs hot, no Ethernet connection

I struggled to choose which external HD I wanted, but it came down to personal preference. I can't believe, I transferred all the files from my old external hard drive onto this one, plus files from the computer and there's still a ton of room for more! My computer actually runs a lot better and faster since I removed files and put them on the WD-easystore!

I got this for use with a PS4 Slim. It was a good thing I invested in a drive this size, Digital games take up a ton of space! Easy hook up, formatted without a problem and works well. The reason for the loss of a star is that it runs HOT. I had to open up a larger hole in the entertainment center behind it. I would definitely recommend using it in an open area.

Easy to setup and use. Have been using it for 10 months now. Great for keeping space available on the computer. Use it for back up of my computer and photo storage mainly. Have plenty of storage space still available. Just what I needed.

Using it on my MAC desktop. Had to format for my MAC but that was super easy to do. It took less than 2 minutes. I use it for my Time Machine backup. I have had it for 2 weeks and it runs great. How long it lasts, is the biggest determining factor as to how good this hard drive is. I have had great luck with WD so I am confident this one will be good also. It replace a 4tb WD.
