Western Digital Gold drives are my new standard. I have servers running 24x7 and want longevity over high performance. I also use these in a NAS Server. With 128 MB cache on these the performance is pretty good anyway. I would not use these drives in a gaming rig but for a server situation the longevity is great. With 2.5 million mean hours between failures these drives should last a long time. It doesn't mean you shouldn't back up your data, however, as nothing is foolproof. These are high quality drives and at the price I got them it's an outstanding value !
