i own 3 of these and only buy WD drives as they are the most reliable of all hard drives out there and as an IT guy my reputation is on the line.

I have been successfully using the WD My Book products for the last 10 years. The are easy to install and easy to use.

My trusty 2 TB portable drive was flashing red in Windows as it neared full and wouldn't you know it I had another two dozen CD's to rip. So I went down to Best Buy, where I'd gotten the 2 TB several years ago, and found this WD My Book. It was at a good price and I was able to transfer all the old drives files over without any issues. The drive is quiet, has it's own power supply and some good software is included. I used the included WD Drive utilities to turn off the sleep mode because I use the drive for streaming and need it to be ready to go on a moments notice. Very happy customer.

Needed an external hard drive for my xbox one and this was highly rated by multiple site. Only complaint is it did not speed up loading time that much but at least I have the extra storage for games now.

I used this hard drive to expand my PlayStation 4 and it works perfectly. Just plug it into the PlayStation and format through the devices menu amd that's it!

This was an easy, plug & play install, and I was immediately able to begin backing up all the photos my mom has on her 5 (yes, 5!) different devices.

I was so tired of running out of space on my old hard drive. This one holds everything and still leaves me plenty of room for any new games.
