If you're looking to know whether or not this drive is compatible with the Xbox One, I can tell you that it is, and it looks awesome with the non-S version of the Xbox One. It looks like a mini version of the console.

I purchased this unit as an external hard drive for my kids' xbox one s. I originally was planning on buying the one from xbox designed specifically for this purpose however I was talked into this unit by the Best Buy representative and so far it seems like the right choice. Cheaper and quicker.

Tons of space for home PCs & Mac

There are 2 primary reasons I bought this particular external HD. 1.) It can be used very easily between Mac and PC so re-formatting isn’t a concern for those of us out there that are Mac enthusiasts. 2.) it’s 4 TB of space! I mean, I run my own business and I back up 5 separate devices to this HD and I STILL have MORE than enough room to play with. It was easy to partition and to encrypt! So, for me personally, I have 3 separate partitions. 1 for anything work related with it’s own encryption password, 1 for personal items and then the last part is for my device backups, I really recommend it for home and small business usage, however, I would not recommend it for travel or “on the go” usage. You need to take in to account that this is not a SSD and there is a disk that can possibly get damaged if dropped because you transport it a lot. Trust me, I’ve done that to externals before and paying for data recovery is not something to look forward to. But overall, GREAT buy!!!

Was easy to set up and get started with PS4. So far I’ve used it for a month and no problems. It's relatively quiet and I’ve been able to store a lot of games. Game access is quick and painless.

Needed their techs to install on our computers as too complicated for me on good computers. Make sure you set your computer to not go to sleep or it can stop copying your stuff (they missed that). Make sure you have space left in your computer or it won't work until you delete some files. Maybe 5-6 giga bites. Their entry level techs don't listen and address that if even you tell them your computer has been sending messages that things don't work as it is too full. Oh and we bought a 4 and and 8 for expiring 1 windows 7 computers and a win dows 10. Now I need to locate my specific thing in the file as numbers not names and not by years. That may be due to file names or lack of names in my computers and previous much older sytem to save of theirs. Dates and ID would be best to file these mega files.

I had to buy this when I accidentally lost some data in order to recover it using software since I didn't have a large enough hard drive to recover it all. Its normal price is an ok value but on sale its pretty good. I've had no issues with it or its 8tb counterpart, but it does need an external power source (they come with a wall plug, its normal for large external drives) so keep that in mind. It runs fairly quiet and unless its dead silent I don't really notice it. I don't use the included software so I can't comment on that.

This hard drive is not too expensive, works great and is a good backup drive! The backup software provided by WD is not the greatest, so I just don't use it. I use Acronis True Image instead.

Had to bring back a Seagate unit that would NOT integrate with my windows7.
This WD unit popped right in. Just watch out for loading more programs than you need from the CD that comes with the unit. I just needed it to duplicate my smaller HD for insurance of failure. I added a couple extra folders to it via the windows7 computer section. Just Drag and Drop- easy. Will probably duplicate it in a few years when 10terrabytes is cheap. Nothing lasts forever. I have a bunch of old computer hard drives that I'll put onto this one. Too much room for the thousands of still photos that I have. Someone with a zillion movies would probably fill it, but I do't think that is most of us.

I am a photographer and graphic designer and I edit photos and designs straight off this in Photoshop and get zero lag spikes. The only time it skips a beat is when it’s been sleeping and I try to fire up a few massive files. But what storage system wouldn’t do that? - I am happy with my purchase!

Great drive for the money. Got this on sale and I just so happened to need an extra drive. I can never get enough extra space for backups. Being a programmer, I need to have a Plan B, C, D, E, etc! All of my external drives are Western Digital. Never had an issue (except for my Cloud Drive> Waste of money that one was). This drive is great. Super quiet, reliable, and the data transfer is decent. Not SSD fast, but decent. Large files do lag a bit but it does get it done.

This drive is easy to install and at 4TB will hold a lot of photos, videos or time machine backups. I use it on my wife’s iMac. Very good value.
