I bought this to replace my other WD external storage that fell off my table and no longer worked.the only problem with this one is I can't seam to find the light on it that lets me know it is working. I have not used it yet but I'm sure it will be as easy as the last one. I just wish they did not have it standing up tall because it falls over if bumped too hard that is why my other one broke.

I bought this drive for extra space for my XBox One X. I have oodles of space now. My only complaint is that there are no lights on the drive to ensure it’s on or working. Other than that, no issues. Great price for massive storage.

Lots of space...I collect music files and I’m working hard to fill it up

Hard drive is great, I have it attached to a iMac for the sake of my movies and plex, I didn't notice the drive being to loud when in progress . set up was easy and works great no problems so far.

Unlike the seagate version, which uses an archive type drive, this one houses a WD blue, which is a desktop level drive with decent performance. Overall, write speeds on this one are more consistent than what you can get on the seagate 8tb drive, and average access time is also quicker. Overall, this is a much better although drive, especially when you are using it to access data frequently, and not just to offload some backups you likely won't access very often.

Installed easy with no problem. I needed something with more storage for my games on my xbox one. It made transferring my games over to the hard drive easy. Plenty of space left for future games.

The WD My Book 6 Tb external hard drive has worked well for me. I bought it to contain backups for my computer. The hard drive includes a back up program, but I found an even better free program on the Western Digital website. The two day delivery time for the drive was great.

Have purchased a couple of these drives on sale. Easy to use and setup. Great warranty too.

Great amount of cold storage for my raw footage that was easy to set up with software that was provided. Great price as well.

I bought this for the soul purpose of using it as an external HD for my Playstation 4 console and I couldn't be happier. The set up process was extremely fast and easy, it's durable, and it has a nice sleek design that looks good sitting next to my console on my entertainment stand. The only thing to keep in mind is that once it's set up for your PS4, you can't also use it for your PC at the same time. The HD is formatted to work for one or the other, so if you format it for your PS4, you'll have to reformat it for the PC if you want to use it there, and every time you reformat it; all data stored on it is wiped.

The hard drive will be used for storing videos of family. It is rugged, durable, and easy to use, just plug right in. I always like buying these WD 6 TB storage devices.

I purchased this for more storage space and based on my experience with the last MyBook, but this does not compare to the one I purchased years ago. The drive comes format as exFAT, but required reformatting to NFTS to get the applications (came with) to recognize on my system. The performance is fair (older one is better) and the drive seems to overheat easily; a drive monitor reported it above 110 degree F and as far as I know was sitting idle all day. I think it has to do with the design, the vents (reduced) are on top and bottom with very little room on bottom. When I was putting data on the drive, I could feel the air flow (from the drive spinning) on the bottom holding above my hand, so I don't think there is enough space when sitting on desk for the air to disburse underneath.

I needed a large drive for my media collection. This drive fits it all in, is fast, and is very easy to use. It was also cheap per terabyte.

Bought this to use as extra storage for my PS4. Works great so far, tons of extra space and very easy set-up.

Great price for the amount of storage. I've always been a fan of WD. Never had an issue with them failing.
