I backed up my information before I had it serviced and I had no problem with doing that and viewing my saved information on the device.

Easy to use, easy instructions, and holds a lot of data

I bought this to do a backup of my PC. The portable drive has the USB 3.0 port (which is backward compatible with USB 2.0). Now my data is safely backed up to this portable drive. Great investment!

My wife’s desktop computer was damaged by a power surge and we needed to get the data off of it. We purchased this drive to capture all of the data on the machine and had plenty of room to spare.

I love that i can plug this drive into my laptop computer and send files to this potable hard drive for backing up . I unplug and store in a safe for security . takes up no space being so small.

Bought the windows version because it was cheaper than the Apple formatted one. MacBook Air just let me reformat for the MacBook. Works great and nice size for the storage.

My computer crashed and I had all my pictures downloaded onto it. Best Buy was able to retrieve my photos and the external hard drive was a great way to store them, without using up my computers storage.

What can I say, a hard drive is a hard drive, or so I thought. The 1TB is a large HD to save lots of information and to back up my data. Use it as a secondary back up for my computer and it does a good job. Would def recommend.

I am by no means knowledgeable about technology. This product could not be easier to use. Plug it in to a USB port and it starts backing up your files. I should have gotten one of these long before I did.

Not being very computer literate, I have found this very easy to back up my files; there are several other security measures which can be activated with this, which I haven't even begun to investigate

Bought this to back up files and photos from systems. Have several WD devices purchased in past with excellent reliability. Connected with no issues and transfer times are excellent. Suits my needs well.

Bought this after I lost thousands of pictures and a perfectly written resume from a virus. Hoping to never have to go through that again with this external hard drive. Only wish I had gotten it sooner

Wasn't working well at all until I found I was using a 2.0 USB extension cable. After I plugged the Passport 9which is 3.0 directly into the computer which has 3.0 USB ports, it works perfectly.

I've very happy with my new WD External Hard Drive. It's so easy to use and I really feel more confident that I have a backup for my files that I can take with me the next time we have a flood of the century!

This external drive holds lots of your photos and other documents when using a mac. Always make sure you have backup of photos that you don't want to lose those precious memories of. This drive works well.
