This product was recommended to me by a member of the Geek Squad. I was able to back up and organize everything I needed. There is plenty of room still available for backing up considerably more.

This Hd is the answer to my son being able to load his games without having to make more room. It was getting very old every time we got a game and had to remove on!! Now we just load and play!!!

When compared to Seagate External HD (which I had earlier), This one allows you to write and read data quicker. Compact and very light in weight.

Western Digital has proven to be a reliable brand. The drive is very easy to use and has decent storage. A workhorse!

I purchased this for my grandson, to back-up his computer, and to save tv shows he recorded on an Ematic Digital Converter box with antenna tv. It's perfect for both, tons of storage, easy to set up and use, just plug in and you're ready to either back up files on the computer, or do a channel scan and then record from the converter box. One thing I would caution other users who want this for recording tv, could not get it to work with an Iview digital Converter Box.

Thanks to the Geek Squad associate, I have been able to download all my files from an old Mac and prepare for enhanced organization of my work. The Passport is exactly right and not expensive.

I use this device to backup my windows desktop for recovery and individual files. You can use the WD software provided or use a third party product. It serves my purprose at a reasonable price

I purchased this hard-drive to have for an upcoming deployment and the first time I had a friend place movies on it, it held at about 600 and there is still plenty of room to store some more.

I purchased this external hard drive to back up my files as my desk top was dying and not worth fixing. I was intimedated at first but it gives you a step by step guide which was a relief to me as I'm not tech knowledgable. This was a file savor for me and made the purchase in time as may desktop died on me 3 days later. Now I have all my files saved on this and will be easy to transfer to a new PC. Very happy with it and the process was simple!

I have no idea what id do without this !! my laptop crashed and the sales associate recommended this hard drive to me. After a transfer, only 30GB was used out of 1TB. Completely satisfied.

Love the My Passport! It is a perfect size. Love the blue color. 1TB will hold mega data. Amazing such a small little thing can take care of so much. I'm older and am still physically looking through boxes of files to see what I can pitch, shed, file, etc. And photos...whew! Such a pain. One day, soon I hope, No large filing cabinet or boxes of papers, I'll have what I need on My Passport. All neat and tidy. Thank you Best Buy.

I really liked it because it holds a lot of my pictures and it's easy to use and the size is great not bulky

Competitively priced. Purchased two of these drives and configured in a RAID 1 set with Microsoft Storage Spaces Windows 8.1, then Windows 10. WD software does not run when configured in a Windows software RAID set. WD needs to update their software in order for their software to run when configured in a Windows RAID configuration. My career has been in disk storage hardware, software and marketing. I would have ensured that my company's disk products would have worked in RAID configurations. I would have thought that the disk drive manufacturer would have known to write their software so that it would function when their drives are configured in Windows RAID configurations.

I have bought WD External HD's for the last 10 years & they have never let me down. Other big brand names have failed on me, but so far my experience with Western Digital has been stellar.

This product serves the role it is designed to do. Excellent storage capacity, durable, and easy to work.

The Western Digital 1 Terra Byte My Passport is my standard go to drive for back up's of my yearly digital photos. I have multiple of these drives, and they have been easy to use. Their compact size also makes them easier to store they some of earlier external USB drives. I have, to date, never had a problem with any of my external Western Digital drives, or the WD internal drives I use in my desktop computers.

The WD My Passport external hard drive is a great value. We have a small business with only 2 people & work remotely & in our office. It holds 1TB of data, which is plenty for my needs to back up my personal business laptop & it's quite simple to use. This my 3rd one purchased as I have one for my own business laptop, our central company laptop & another personal laptop device for my partner.
