I needed a little more storage for my PS4, this 1TB was perfect. It is small and barely noticeable. Easy to set up and turns off when the PS4 is off. If in standby mode it will turn off after 2 or 3 hours.

I needed additional storage space for my X-Box 1 and thought I would try this method. I was lured in by the price, which I felt was reasonable. This product did everything I expected, was easily installed and works perfectly.

I have a Large WD on my desk. This is so tiny and compact easy to throw in a bag and go. It backs up a lot,I had to buy it to back up my computer before The GS could work on it. Great price also.

This external drive takes up little space, is easy to hook to my computer at a USB port and has a huge memory capacity. With its solid state I expect it will last a very long time.

We wanted a capable USB 3.0 back up drive for small business. While this drive has ten times more capacity than what we sought, surprisingly it was the smallest capacity offered,. It fills our needs efficiently and saves a lot of backup time over our previous 2.0 - Western Digital has meant reliability for decades.

This model is the latest generation of the many My Passport drives I've owned or purchased for clients. They have proven reliable and good performers. They have incrementally improved with each new generation. This model features a new case design which most notably replaced the rounded corners with sharp 90 degree ones. Otherwise it should have little effect on use. BOTTOM LINE (for the impatient): The new model is a little bit faster than last year's and includes the 4TB model added to the previous generation My Passport Ultra early in 2016. This model (I got the 4TB size) is just noticeably faster than the 2015 model on sequential reads and but especially writes using Crystal DiskMark. This My Passport has a new design that replaces rounded corners with pointy ones and adds some odd (to me) styling to the case. The new case shows fingerprints and scratches much more than the old. It's a purely aesthetic change. Other than outward appearance it's functionally almost identical to the 2016 My Passport Ultra model. If these differences are not important for you or you prefer the old model's aesthetics, you may want to get last year's My Passport Ultra or this depending on which is least expensive at the time. You'll have an excellent drive in either case.

I needed more storage for my XBox One S because you're given a criminally small amount of hard drive space to work with... And this not only fit the bill but exceeded my expectations. Now, it's not as fast as an SSD, of course, but the USB 3.0 connection is no slouch and helps keep it from being a source of torture while in use or transferring games back and forth. In case you're wondering, the drive is a 5400 RPM. Incredibly small, fits perfectly in your pocket and the USB cable is just long enough to work with without it getting in your way. I bought it on sale and for the price I paid, I highly recommend it if you're running out of space on your XBox or PS4.

This external hard drive is great, it has ample storage and is easily transportable because of its size. I bought it to back up my PlayStation 4 and it works like a charm. Highly recommend this product.

My WD- y Passport 1TB portable hard drive provides plenty of room for my videos, music and photos. The 256 bit-encryption and password protection keep files secure. My old passport didn't have enough room for everything I needed and I didn't feel my files were secure. I would recommend this product.

Got the 2TB version of the WD external drive and it still has plenty of space after a long time of putting files on it. It also auto-backups your files if you set that up with your current PC at the time. Very fast through USB 3.0 and can work with Windows, but have not had it work with MAC systems.
