afordable, functional and easy to use. highly reccoment!

Maybe I got the one out of several thousand that fails for no apparent reason. It worked great before failure. Data copies over to it extremely fast. Cost effective when on sale. I kept it plugged in to my iMac 24/7 and was never concerned because it never felt too warm to the touch. Usually shut the computer off a few times a week to give everything a break, but apparently this drive didn't like that. It just disappeared from my system randomly and now won't show up. I've tried 3 different USBC cables and tried it on my MacBook Air as well. Nothing will recognize it, and now almost half a terabyte of data is gone. Thankfully most of it backed up (this is why you make backups of your backups), but... not sure I'd trust this particular device again for my use case.

My wife uses this to backup graphic designs and photos. It’s the size as an old school iPod Touch and it’s fast and easy to use. I did buy it as a Black Friday deal so I don’t know if I would recommend it at full price.

This 1 T--SSD external hard drive works perfectly and is extremely sturdy. I also like the small size so that it fits easily into my laptop case with the laptop in it. WD-My Passport makes a good product and I would buy it again.

This hard drive is my go to at any time or place. Drops in purse with little space required FAST FAST in comparison to other Hard drives

Use this as an external game drive on a PS4. Very fast load speeds, plenty of storage space...games seem to load more quickly with this than on my console's internal HDD. FYI--it gets slightly warm to the touch during extended use.

As a music producer with a few different computers and needs for video and audio file storage, I own 3, they’re lightweight and amazing!!

Used it to transfer data from a failed Samsung 970 SSD. transferring to the drive (2TB of stuff) took forever- but I believe that was due to the Samsung's failure, because transferring everything to the new drive only took 9mins.

I wanted a place to store all my pictures and videos. This works fine. I backed up all on my computer phone and camera.

I got to have a decent backup for movies off of another external drive (I actually have copies on 3 different external drives! LOL). Being an SSD I figured it would be more stable than the other 2 non-SSD drives I use. For the most part I have no issues, it hasn't given me any issues with the actual drive, but the connection from my Mac to the drive is questionable. Regardless of how I hook it up, it will continually disconnect. Initially I thought bad cable, but I tried a different cable (an actual Apple cable) and it did the same thing. Looking at the drive connection, my guess is that the actual connection at the drive has issues as it is a little wobbly. With the Apple cable, it doesn't seem to do as much but that's probably due to the length of the cable. The cable it comes with isn't very long so using with a portable MacBook it won't like it unless you are on a desk and not on your lap. Otherwise it is a great little drive that doesn't take up much space when you're not using it. For the cost its a must have considering SSDs are usually considerably more expensive.

This is one of the best external ssds ive used. Its compact and fast. Get ls a little warm when doing large files but never over heats. Got this during the holidays and the price was awesome.

Small and light, truly a portable Device that you can tuck into your shirt pocket. Enough storage space for all of your backup music, or photos. Well maybe not all of it, but enough for my 1960’s collection...

This device is durable with lots of storage space.

I love how small this SSD drive is. I've had an external WD HDD My Passport before, and I've been very happy with it. The only downsides were its lower speed and vulnerability to shock. Both issues are now solved!

I was amazed at how easy it was to use the product. In one overnight session it backed up all my files. It can slip into my pocket so I can carry my files around easily. Very light and small. I am amazed by it.

Impressively small. My phone reveals its entire capacity as an attached USB device. I bank on Western Digital for quality, and I am expecting this to last. Highly recommend.
