Works well, no issues encountered at this point. I use it for my gaming laptop and I am satisfied with the product.

When I was looking for external hard drives on best buys website, I had used the filter tab to select solid state drives. This was listed in that category. However, no where on the item description did it say it was a sdd, and that is my fault for not being more careful. Ended up buying it and when I first used it to my surprise it was just a traditional hard disk drive. It wasnt a massive let down being as this is fairly affordable and again I should have noticed for the price it was too good to be true. Now to the actual product; it works pretty well for a 2.5" drive. It loaded my games fairly fast and read/write was fairly decent as well. The built in software works great too... During the covid 19 crisis and everyone working from home, portable storage is almost impossible to find locally which was also a battle to find one in stock anywhere. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for affordable storage on a budget.

Setup is not as simple as you're led to believe. Owner's manual is online which can be cumbersome when using the same computer you're backing up.

A worthy investment. Most of my drives have been WD over the years, and my longest external lasted over 6 years. Take advantage of the price here as you are getting quality to boot.

This drive was very easy to use and there was no setup involved. It is true plug and play and a good value for the space it provides.
