    Never needed a hard drive back up until I did. The WD Passport was the perfect solution to my problem. Now, I have a safe, secure way to back up my hard drive!

    Works great right out of the box. Have years worth of travel photos on laptops, tablets, phones, and various storage devices, I wanted to consolidate all photos in one place and free up storage on my Surface Pro. Use the provided USB cable and send whatever you want to My Passport. No brainer. I probably will purchase another to back up other files and transition from purchased apps that I currently use.

    I really liked the performance and reliability of this drive until this past weekend...after 6 months it has failed and I have lost files at a completely critical time. I am not giving up on my Passport completely, however I have opted to try out a SSD drive for my next purchase. During a time when so much communication is virtual I need a drive that is more reliable for day to day use. I will probably use the next My Passport as my backup drive
