Quiet, reliable, fast, light, very portable. Does what I expected it to do.

Well, I usually by the 4GB drives, but needed a smaller one for a System boot/backup disk. I opted to get the 2GB drive, so that I could install the OS and a few other applications on it in case I needed to do full restore. This was perfect. Easy to set up and use. No problems. Small form factor. Only wish they gave you a case with it, but oh, well.

Bought this to replace an older hard drive that seemed like it was going to die soon, humming loud and getting hot. We have all our photos and video on it so we weren’t going to take a chance with it. Love how small this new hard drive is and that it holds twice as much as the old one it replaced! Only had it for a couple weeks, but it so far has been great!

I bought the WD My Passport for my mother as a gift because she likes keeping way too many pictures! I was looking for something that would have good storage, fast load speeds, and be simple to use. This product exceeded all of my expectations. Great buy for anyone looking for easy to use external storage.

Easy to install and set up. Reliable external drive. Compact size.

Used this hard drive to extend the storage on a completely full PS4. The one USB cable design for power and data makes for a simple and clean looking installation. The drive is incredibly tiny, about the size of a deck of cards. I "mounted" it with double sided 3m adhesive to the top of my PS4 and ran the cable back. After booting up the PS4, it was immediately recognized and formatted. Really no complaints about the drives performance. I only took off one star because slightly better deals can be found elsewhere if your not in a hurry. But all in all it is a good purchase.

I needed a backup drive quickly for a laptop that was showing signs of failure that threatened to take out the motherboard and hard drive, so I ran to BB and grabbed this little guy on a whim. I was pleased with it for the most part and it definitely did what I bought it to do. The speed is decent, backed up the entire 1.2TB system in a respectable time (can't tell the exact time because the machine overheated a few times and I was required to shut it down and do it in chunks). It was recognized and accessible easily enough as well. My biggest issue is the software that comes with it. There's an option to back up your system, but there's no mirror option or a quick copy option that I could find. You can select user docs and other directories manually, but there is no Copy All easily accessible in their software. I know this drive is designed to be a running backup of important files, but I'd like the option to do a complete mirror image and then build on that. The software itself is kind of chunky too. I can see where it would be useful for computer strugglers, but there is no advanced interface for those who need it. I don't need it to auto load and monitor, I just need a reliable back up. That being said, I can't fault it for doing what it is designed to do, but I can fault it 1 star for the interface being clunky and limited.

This is my 5th or 6th My Passport External. I have them in 1, 2, and 4tb sizes. Never had a problem with any of the ones this size. Full-size drives are cumbersome and sometimes for me had issues with the little pcboard inside the case, but these have been solid. I have a small army of these because I trust them as much as i would any spinning disc.

This is like my 10th WD external HDD I have purchased. I was using this as a backup HDD for business and personal photos and videos. It is probably the smallest the WD external HDD in terms of size (about the size of a pack of cards). It was already preformatted in NTFS. However, if you plan to use this in a Mac, you will need to reformat it in FAT32. It seems to have good transfer speeds. The only issue is that it is a little noisier than my other drives especially when it is first accessed. I did check it using the included WDS utility and it passed a SMART check and even went through full scan with no errors so knock on wood. The noise is faint but you can hear it if you have the drive close to you. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Reliable, slim, compact, stylish, more than enough room !

I bought this drive as a second backup drive for my video files. A simple re-format to exFAT32 did the trick for the larger files. Data transfers quickly via usb 3 to or from either my PC or Mac. I can watch the videos directly from the drive on either computer without taking up computer or cloud storage space. Also it's very small and portable.

I've had this hard drive for about seven months now. It's exclusively used to expand my Xbox One storage, and has worked fine for this purpose. It doesn't move/travel more than once or twice a year, so I can't speak to portability, but it is compact and hides nicely behind my console in my entertainment center.

Bought this for a back up of family photos and movies. The computer we are relying on to save all of our precious photos and movies is at least 8 years old, so I copied all of them to this external hard drive for safe keeping. Over 3800 pictures and alot of home videos with ALOT of space left over. Super easy to update files.

I am an avid photographer using a DSLR and shooting RAW files. I then edit in Lightroom and/or PhotoShop. This leads to multiple versions of the original large file. This is my 4th Passport Portable Hard-drive. Easy to use and dependable. Great for backup and for freeing up space on the laptop. Great product!

I personally bought this hard drive to back up all of my personal and work documents. For the size and price point you simple cannot beat this hard drive. Since purchasing this one. My boss has had me purchase 6 more to give to all of our department. Hard drive is reliable and again cannot say enough about the size.

The WD Portable Drive is a very good product. The small footprint allows the portable drive to fit easily in a small briefcase or even in a jacket pocket. The WD setup app makes it easy to use right out of the box. Several other apps such as the Back up and Security are easy to use and provide good value.

This is the perfect external portable drive. It’s small, lightweight and design is great. Set up couldn’t be easier, it took me a few minutes and then was using it to store all my pictures and family videos. If you’re in need of additional storage you’d be hard pressed to find a better product.

Great quality, good looking, and enough extra storage space for gaming on a console. Also it's blue and easily distinguishable in your gaming setup. If that is something that you want. Easy to use and formatting pops up as soon as you plug it in to the device you will be using for it.
