Although it's not very quick and it's disk based (which means it has a limited lifespan) , I bought it due to the cheap price and ease of using it. I think it was $120 at the time, and it completely holds my needs in terms of storage.

This HDD is TOP OF THE NOTCH, I would recommend it to anyone.

At first I was very hesitated to get the WD My passport drive, but alot of the Best Buy employees told me that this is the one everyone usually gets and has great reviews. I needed a new external hard drive for my PS4 after the 4.50 update(do not purchase if u do not have this update). Ended up working very well so far. Also there is different variety of colors.

I picked this up so I could consolidate 3 smaller hard drives on to one. WD makes great hard drives and this is no exception with it's quick read and write speeds. I also like this module because you can put an encrypted password on it for security if you want but just remember if you do and you forget the pass then you are out of luck and you will never get your info back. Even if the hard drive is removed from the case and plugged in directly to a PC you can only view encrypted files. In other words this HD can only be used with the integral hardware inside the Passport case making it very secure.

Bought for my Xbox one, so far it is getting the job done!

My son needed extra storage for his Xbox One. He wanted a 2TB external hard drive but we bought the 3TB drive instead. Great item - ample storage for an expert gamer.

what a great way to consolidate and organize all those smaller USB drives and to keep a back up of all those photos over the years. easy to use, transfer files, just plug and play...just like a thumb drive.

I recently purchased a 2 TB metal version for a similar price. This has 50% more storage capacity at a similar cost. I have been able to format it just as my other "Mac" compatible version. Currently using as Time Machine on Macbook Pro 15" (mid 2015) and it works just fine. The color is cool and the design is alright.

It's conveniently small seems unbreakable... I really like that I was able to set up an automatic backup even when I unplug it it will tell me it wants to do a backup and I can just plug it in if I want

This little gadget is the lifesaver for every techy. Got two of them - one for schoolwork backup and the other for my finances. Love this Gadget!
