I bought this after a lot of research. Having an external drive is a must; having one with this much storage is a game changer. I still back up everything to at least one other drive, but this is my go to to keep everything organized and safe.

I spent a lot of time researching external hard drives. This one fit the bill and did not disappoint. It is really easy to use and at a good price. My kids are always saving videos and photos so I chose the 3T. Highly recommend.

Purchased to transfer files to a new computer and provide backup for it. USB 3.0 was a key feature as there was a lot of material to transfer and back up. Went with Western Digital because of quality and have used this brand for PCs and backups for many years. The drive has a rather boxy profile with sharp corners. Probably a personal preference, but I would prefer a smoother, more rounded edge.

This works great for extra storage. Just plug it in and you are set to go.

This was the perfect hard drive for me. I'm an amateur photographer and videographer and it has plenty of storage space for my RAW files and MOV files. It is also small enough that doesn't have a big footprint in my camera bag when traveling.

I bought this as an additional disc for media storage and I needed room enough for 4K movies and enough speed to prevent playback lag. Plugged into a USB 3.0 port,the WD 3TB Passport works perfectly..and this is my third one so :Yes , I'd buy it again.

I use this for my media on my server. Loads HD very well. Lots of space!

This is the best portable drive I've ever purchased. Not only is it fast and quiet, I am able to fit all of my music, movies, and most of my TV shows from iTunes onto it to free up my computer's hard drive. I'll definitely be buying another one soon.

I have the lower storage PS4, which ran out of space in no time. This drive had the best reviews and was the best price. Just plugged it in and the software downloaded and installed by itself. No problems yet.

This is a great product for purchasing to plug and play for any XBOX, XBOX ONE, or XBOX ONE S (which I recently purchased black Friday) The 500gb one, which after uploading about 5 games + the lego dimensions & The lego dimensions the Batman lego movie story pack, I began really running low on space; so had to troubleshoot. & went to Best Buy spoke to an awesome team member who definitely knew what he was talking about, and sent me the right direction, for extra storage space. Now that's aswesome! Directions: For this WD external portable hard drive; simply take home, open from packaging, & plug it in while the system is on & the Xbox One (S) will handle the rest. No noticeable lag in game load times at all. In fact, it may be a little faster. Best of all, plenty of room for games - load all you want, for some time to come! ;)

Plug and play, compact with only one cord for power from usb. Easy to use, shows up automatically on windows and mac pcs. Hopefully will last!

Wanted to backup all my files! This was a smart purchase to not lose old pics and files from throughout my life. Product works quickly and now I have peace of mind that I have everything backed up!

I had so many photos on my computer that were hogging my storage. I bought this device to clear them off and I can't believe how much storage is still left on the drive! Also, it's small enough to slip into the laptop case with my laptop.

The refreshed look of the new Passport drive is great, but the price is even better. I purchased this drive as a mobile Time Machine Back Up to my MacBook Pro. I also partitioned the drive to allow me to download/share files. It's a great value for the storage and is obviously very portable. I would suggest purchasing with a carrying case, especially if you're mobile.
