Had to upgrade my memory banks for the PlayStation 4 and this thing has come in clutch. Was able to download every game I've ever purchased and still have loads of space left. Highly recommend!

Recently I ran into the familiar problem of not enough storage on 3 computers, so I bought the Passport 5TB. Without doubt, this is the best investment I have made in many years of buying computers and accessories. The contains of 3 computers are now securely stored on the Passport, and it has plenty of storage space yet. Easy to use. Just plug it in and use as you would any flash drive or external USB connection. I have an old Passport that still works but is just too small, so I have retired it. Everything is stored in OneDrive on Windows 10, in iCloud, but more useful for me and for convenience is the 5TB External USB 3.0 portable hard drive. Thanks for quality!

I needed a nice-sized hard drive to store photography and videography files. It works on my mac with no problem and it isn't too big to carry around. No issues so far.

I really like the size and convenience of this drive. I does not require a separate power source. The fact that it holds 5TB I can put pictures from the last 30 years on it and have room to spare.

I've owned many WD Passport drives (keep filling them up). Never had a problem with any; this one seems no different. Literally plug & play, the capacity is great, and the portability is an added bonus. Would definitely buy again.

A trusted brand for external storage. I've been using a 500GB HDD for many years and it was time to upgrade so I decided to go with this 5TB HDD. I copied all the contents of my old drive to this new one and only use this drive as my main backup. I like its compact size and that it fits in the same storage case that I was using so I didn't need to purchase a new case. The only thing I don't like is the proprietary USB cable, my old one was a micro USB, these should all just be the standard USB-C without having to pay extra for that feature.

Replaced by 1TB Seagate Portable Hard Drive with this 5TB Western Digital and not only is the extra space amazing for the price but the speeds are so much better too! I thought I was going to keep my 1TB Seagate as a backup but ended up giving it to my brother and buying another 1TB WD version of this model as my backup instead

Got this for my son’s gaming PC, he loves how much space he now has to add games. Plus it also sped up his PC. It is nice a small making it easy to place on top or behind his PC. Easy to set up.

Love this. I have a small business that requires me to store a huge amount of high quality pictures. This external hard drive is very easy to use. I am able to break everything down into categories so that I can find what I need quickly. Best part is that if my computer crashes I won't lose my stuff. My computer also runs a lot faster without all those pictures taking up space.

This works perfect as a external back up. 5TB is a lot of space and not easy to fill up anytime soon. I only wish they put the blinking light on the other end from the cable connection so you can hide the cable and only see the light. Easy to use, plug it in and looky there, a new drive letter in your pc or mac! (However, don't put it in your shirt external breast pocket else it may suffer the same fate as many cell phones have.)

Purchased as a backup for a compilation of other backups. It's a decent price for 5TB, at least it was on sale anyway. Nothing I can really say about speeds as I'm not really using it on the regular, just for massive backups which are already going to take a long time to process (an overnight job for hundreds of thousands of files). This is probably my 4th WD My Passport, and so far all have functioned great and lasted a while. They feel pretty sturdy and don't slide around on the desk. I'll probably pick up 1 or 2 more for secondary backups.

Very satisfied with this drive. This thing is affordable and it's got a ton of space and is very easy to slip in my backpack for trips where I'll need to backup a lot of footage.

This is a great little unit. I use it for external storage for my Chromebook. I also have a Western Digital 4 TB EasyStore drive and 10 TB EasyStore drive, which I have been using for over a year. There is 1 drawback for Chromebook users. Even though this a a "Works with Chromebook" certified item, password protection & encryption ONLY work with Windows...they will not work with Chrome OS. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with it and its portability and speed.

Purchased to use as backup for my laptop files. Size, price, quality and ease of use were boxes on my checklist and this product checked all my boxes. I would recommend.

My kids love the ease of use for their Playstation 5. It works great. The kids download a lot of games. Fortnite updates a lot so i got for them the 5TB. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Fast transfers also from the PS5 to the external hard drive. Thank you for making such a great product...
