This was a good purchase as the HDD is fast at writing data into it. It mentioned to be meant for Mac and I wanted one that works on both Mac & Windows, and it serves the purpose. Default it's in HFS+ format and I had to re-format into exFAT to make it cross platform compatible. Didn't feel like any compromise in speed though.

I always like a separate Time Machine to record what is going on w/my computer and felt Apple Master knew best - and it seems to be just what I wanted and needed.

I learned the hard way that you can never have too many safety nets when it comes to backing up your data. I purchased this hard drive to do just that. Sure, there is always the Cloud, but watch how fast the free portion fills up. With this external hard drive, I don’t have to worry about filling up the iCloud. I really like its dependability and ease of use.

Purchased on a recommendation from a friend and I’m glad I did. It’s great for Mac users and has more storage than I will probably ever use – which is great.

This hard drive is very dependable and quick. SSD is the only way to go. They also have internal SSD for your Mac or windows. The speed is tremendous

The product works as advertised and Best Buy had a great price besides. The WD - My Passport for Mac works well with Apple's Time Machine.

I use this as my primary backup disk for my MAC, running High Sierra at the time. Excellent capabilities. Quickly completes the backup.

Awesome to store games on for PS4, able to free up so much space on my Ps4 hard drive and not lose any games when downloading new ones.

You get what you pay for. Not necessarily a bad thing. For the price (on sale) the drive offers good bang for the buck. It's not going to set any land speed records but I didn't purchase this for speed, just as some additional storage for archiving files.

I had no problem with this. I have never used one before and it was very 'dumb user' friendly. If you need one this is the one to get.

It's a great storage device for Macs. The description is exactly what it says it is. My only concern was the fact that after I bought it I found one in a store that was 2TB storage on sale for the exact same price. But I'm still very pleased with it.

Shopping was a breeze and the help was wonderful, it hooked up with my computer with no problems and it copied all my files.

This is a good product, being mac-specific, if you have a use for it. Chances are though, if you have iCloud, then you have more than enough room for your information to be backed up without an external drive. This is easy to use, though.

Its a good reliable portable hard disk for a decent price. Obviously slower than nowadays SSDs but value for money product.
