Great deal for a lot of storage & features. Stored over 7,000 photos and 2,000 songs with a ton of space left.

Best external/portable drive I've seen for my MBP. I have bought two of these already. The first one I use for Time Machine; The second I use to store my GoPro and DJI Phantom videos. I transfer my videos directly to My Passport and do all my editing in Final Cut Pro directly from the drive without any issues.

So far this product works very well. Happy with the fast transfer and immediate accessibility to Mac OS without reformatting.

This is the 2nd external hard drive I have purchased trying to find something to hold all the footage from my son's basketball games. The first one did not work at all, it was another product but I'm glad I stumbled across this. Makes things easy with plug and play set up, then dropping files in for storage!

I'm a wedding photographer so I constantly buy external hard drives every few months. The MyPassport is my top purchased hard drive. I have never had one fail or corrupt even though they're not built as strong as my sturdier drives (such as the Lacie). Great hard drives, and great price point!

This is a great portable HD for dropping in my bag when I travel. It is small, compact and has plenty of capacity for those unexpected times when large files need to be transferred. I used Western Digital external drives for many years because of their reliability and performance.

Primary reason for purchase was to back up files on a Mac. I hoped to backup a Windows PC as well but that would create a need to reformat the drive. Still, it served its purpose.

I am a mac user and always use the passports for my externals. I have a Lacie- but it was more expensive, less storage, and anytime the cord moves- it ejects and risks damaging my files. Not cool. Passport wins everytime now. Going on a good 4 year relationship with them.

I take it wish me on my travels it holds up well under normal wear and tear on the road
