Plug in turn it on and off you go! Literally - we bought this to back up all our personal photos and documents to store in an off site location. it's compact size makes that easy.

I use this as my back up drive for now. I’ve had it for over a year and it’s been great. It doesn’t see a lot of hours or action. Just the occasional data dump. But it’s always worked.

We were in desperate need of backing up our MacBook and needed an external hard drive. This fit the bill. Performs as you would expect and holds way more memory than we’d ever need in our lifetime!

This drive suites my needs well especially the price difference between it and solid state drives. It's portability compared to previous generations plus sleek design is a huge step up considering the size of storage. However, I think the time has come for the price to come down further especially in this fast pace of data input and processing.

I have had WD back-up drives before without to many issues - this time I bought a larger storage unit with the drive already configured for the Mac. Besides the fact that it annoyingly shuts itself down when the computer "sleeps" for short periods of time - it usually refuses to start back up after its "nap"! I am constantly getting notified that the drive is WAITING TO COMPLETE FIRST BACKUP" whatever that means. The drive just sits there doing nothing until I force quit it, unplug it, restart my computer and hope that the drive starts doing its job and sometimes I have to restart the computer more than once to get the drive working again. It's too late for me to return this junk but I wouldn't recommend anybody buying it either!

The Western Digital Passport 2TB Drive is easily installed with the USB connector and the Brand WD is one of the most reliable on the market. For a 2TB backup drive the price is very reasonable.

Got this drive on clearance. It was marketed for a Mac. I do not have a Mac (or any Apple Device), so I just reformatted the drive and use it with my Windows PC's and Android tablets.

What a great pleasure it was to have somewhere to back up my files and pictures to without having to worry about power cords and connections. One simple wire and connector and you are ready to go.

The item made it possible to download my files from my I-Phone & MacBook to storage and free up my phone for more photos for my travels in Europe. It was great at a time when I really needed it.

My external hard drive port was acting up and I got this WD for replacement​..happy I chose this brand it is very light for a 2TB drive compared to the old one that was 1TB and much heavier.

I found it a little tricky to set up but once I did it super easy to get going. For updating I just plug it in and it knows what to do. I really don't think about it.

Bought this because of worries about reliability from other name brands. Backblaze observed WD drives to fail the least on average out of all of the name brands. Works great so far

WD is always value for the quality you get. This external drive is easy to set up and prior experience with the brand gives me confidence that this will be a good addition to my backup plan.

I bought this for my son for Christmas to hold all of his photos from his budding photography career. It does everything that he needs it to and more. Portable and reliable!!!

This is oexactly what I needed to serve as a Time Capsule for my MacBook. Bought it on recommendation from the Geek Squad. Easy setup and working like a champ. Couldn’t be better.

This is my second one. My first is still in use backing up and storing all music, photos, documents, etc. compact and lightweight. This one backs up and stores another computer.

For the price, this product delivers a great value for the amount of stroage. I love the simplicity of not having an external power adapter. Makes it easy to swap the drive between systems.

I purchased My Passport to back up my Mac and have not been disappointed. It is quick and I never have to worry about losing my data. I highly recommend it for those wanting peace of mind.

Just hopes this works. While this is easy to set up, you have to make sure it's doing what you bought it for. You should check periodically to see that backup is actually happening.

Have had no problems with this drive. Didn't think I needed help picking this one out, but was pleased when an employee offered some helpful tips and suggested this model.
