This product is great, it was very well priced. I love how slim it is, and it's very easy to use. It is better than what I was initially looking for and works better than I thought it would.

I bought this HD solely for my Macbook Pro backups. It is fast, easy to carry around and really high storage space for the price point. Recommended.

I needed to replace my previous external drive, used fo rnormal back-ups as well as "Time Machine" back-ups. I love technology updates! This drive is much smaller and holds a huge amount of data compared to previous one which was having difficulty with current operating systems. I have partitioned the drive into 3 smaller "drives" to prevent the Time Machine back-ups from using the entire space, and have plenty of room to back-up anything I want as well as create a start-up disk for emergency in its own partition.

I need to backup my laptop and didn't have enough room on the old Passport I had. I inquired as to what I should get and was recommended the 2TB WD My Passport. The gentleman who helped me made it easy for me to make a decision.

This hard drive is portable, USB connected and powered, fast, compact, and completely amazing. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased my first My Passport for Mac 2TB a couple of weeks ago, it was a very easy plug and play installation and it backed up my computer in a matter of minutes. The next day though an error message popped up that said Time Machine couldn't complete the backup because an error occurred. The only way to get it to work again is either force eject the drive or turn the computer off and back on as eject and WD Utilities diagnostics do not work after the error message is received. WD tech support advised me to erase the drive and format it for Mac, not sure why you would have to do that for a drive already formatted properly but whatever. The error message came back up that evening. I returned the drive to Best Buy and exchanged it for another new identical drive. It worked just the same, the error message will pop up anywhere from within a couple of hours to a day or two. 2 days was the longest it ever went without the error message so I returned it for a refund this morning. I'm using the latest version of High Sierra if that makes a difference. Best Buy customer service at the Blossom Hill store gets 5 stars as they could not have been nicer and were very helpful with the exchange and return.

It does what it's supposed to, easy to use and reliable.

Plenty of room to backup all my video projects and footage. Small and compact. So far so good! Good price too.

Never saw a need for an external drive. How wrong I was. This item is not only very useful and practical but necessary too. And after comparing prices ; it was a bargain. Best Buy of the year. !!!

I bought this to back up my MACBook Pro. It was super easy. Just plug it in and it syncs up automatically. Make sure your computer is all the way charged though or it will take a really long time.

2TB these days are just cheap and this speed was a nice surprise. The drive so far performs well. Cheers!

I bought this external portable hard drive for my MAC before OS 11 came out so I could safely back everything up before I downloaded the new OS 11. Everything was saved and I was thrilled.

I love this little hard drive. It's very portable and has really good speed and storage space. A great value!

Never buy products made "for Mac" cause of the premium people charge. But the first drive I bought was terrible trying to format. This works perfectly right out of the box for my MBP.

I really enjoy using My Passport for Macs. They are super easy to set up and use on my Mac. My only complaint is that every time I start my machine, I receive a dialogue box requesting me to register the device even though I have already done so. This is quite annoying. Otherwise. I really like the product.

We bought this disk to replace one that had failed. It has worked very well for backing up our MacBook Pro. Use is very convenient because it is powered through the USB connection.

Have yet to use, looking forward to it. This is a really fast hard drive with 2TB capacity. One of my four computers has a physical location in isolation from the internet. The only solution from said sad dilemma is to carry files to it by hand. The MY PASPORT will be better (tho clumsier) than our present thumb drives which are handy but too slo and with insufficient storage. A similar situation exisits when computing in the Idaho Panhandle. JG D

I'm so glad I bought this item. I was afraid it would not work for me. It was so small I was used to the old larger external hard drives. It fixes in my purse and works well.

It’s very easy to use. Just plug it in and you’re set to go. Click and drag the files you want to back up on the icon and you’re done. I have 3 and have never had a problem

I bought this to store hours and hours of HD video footage recorded on a camcorder. I uploaded the footage using a Macbook Air. Overall, the External Hard Drive performs extremely well. Using my laptop, it was able to upload files of about 60 GB in 12 minutes or less--an impressive speed. The drive has so much storage that it requires its own power cord, but it powers up fairly quickly after being plugged into a wall outlet.
