I use it for Time Machine on my Mac. It works great

Plenty of memory to back up my whole Mac. So easy to use- right out of the box, plug in, and "go". Works slick with Time Machine. This educator gives this product a straight A. Very satisfied.

It took me a little while to figure out how to transfer the photos from my phone to my external hard drive, but after searching on google, I was able to transfer the photos alright.

WD is so much better than the competition and it is even better that it doesn't need to be formatted for the Mac, it is already set up and Time Machine works great with it!

The drive worked fine as a time machine backup for a few weeks, the suddenly became invisible to the Mac (or any other drive). WD was replacing i (relatively easy process)t, but when it arrived at my doorstep, someone stole the package with the replacement drive! I am considering what to replace it with....

Great product. Thought it would be faster but I've been told the first backup always takes longer. The cables can be a bit sensitive. I kept getting a message that I've ejected improperly.

Just plug into USB port while computer is on. TIME MACHINE APP will activate. Answer a few questions concerning back-up methods and Time Machine will do the rest. So easy.

Excellent buy. I take this everywhere with me and have used it many times to charge items. Very quick charge and I love the digital view of how much power is left in the bank.

Beat paying $400 for internal hard drive with computer built in and will do same only better since not a part of the computer itself. Great service with help from sales person.

The WD Passport for Mac is always user friendly. I needed more space my "other one died" (a different also great brand. I went with the non slim for durability it's my backup.

It's a nice drive. I use it on my Mac Book Pro. It works fine, but the cord keeps falling out whenever I move the computer while working. That's an issue with this kind of drive. I finally got some Velcro and a computer lap holder and Velcro the computer and drive to it. Now, it doesn't fall out.

The My Passport is the most simplistic and effective external storage device I've found for the Mac. The Passport is also incredibly durable. I've packed mine into some harsh terrain and have never had an issue. The data transfer rate is more than adequate, even when transferring large raw files.

This is about my 6th WD drive. Yes they do crash after several years. I am pleased with the 2 T size and it backs us quite nicely. This after about 3 weeks of ownership.

I️ exchanged for time capsule as I️ needed an additional router.

This product works great but I would prefer when it is doing a back up it would not create new complete back ups but rather it would only update "changed" files. Probably there is a setting I could use but haven't found it yet.

It's like that Trill Symbiote from Deep Space Nine. Unplug from old computer, plug into new computer; all the old info in a new body. Beam me up Scotty!
