It works great now that I had the Geek Squad show me why it wasn't working at first. As with many products, it needs better instructions.

love this product. additional storage is so cheap. plugged it into my laptop and hit time capsule. that's it!

I purchased this hard drive to back up my photo collection. It plugged straight into my AirPort Extreme and worked seamlessly.

Bought this to back up some files on my Mac. Setup was easy and the Mac setup a recurrent back up to keep me up to date.

This really came in handy. I really wish it would work for my newer Mac as well though.

While not fast enought for editing 4k video or robust enough for everyday pro app usage, these drives are an economical transfer method for large files that need to be shipped. I recommend bubble wrapping the original packaging.

This product does not work with my Mac-it says it has backed up my information but my Mac continues to say " That its has not been backed up for almost 300 days now..... I went to store and Geek guy tried it and said it worked now..NOT SO !!!! I am a senior and ill and have come in to the store numerous times -it is still not working ?? I purchased my iPhone and the sales woman set up some things -She is GREAT..as soon as i am well I will come back to the store for help. The staff is great. and is helpful always...some better than others...I come to Best Buy for everything..Next -a 2nd TV, soon Best Buy is great

No hassle, easy to use. It’s basically plug and play. No setup necessary unless you want to go between Mac & PC.

I prefer the Western Digital brand as I have had 2 Seagate drives stop working on me. Fast transfer speeds and sleek looks.

No set up on my MacBook, just plugged it in and started transferring files! Didn’t try the time machine backup.

it only shows up on my computer when it feels like it. I bought it for work so very frustrating when if decides not to respond and I have a time sensitive assignment.

Perfect out of the box for my mac. We backed up the old hard drive and transferred data to a new one with no problems

A Data Recovery specialist recommended this type drive for my daughter for her pictures and files. I haven't had the drive long but I can admit it has been durable and the capacity has been holding up well. A good buy.
