This external hard drive has been great for the price!! 4TB

Nice compact size with a good capacity. Talked to many people and they recommended the WD.

I needed an external hard drive to back up my mid 2012 MacBook Pro as my 500gb drive was running out of space. I knew based on my budget I'd have to settle for about a TB. However, after comparing prices on line, I saw that 3 more TB only cost $30.00 more, so I opted for the 4TB. Now, I have 1TB for my MacBook Pro, 1TB for my old MacBook, 1 for pics and 1 for music (for my USB DJ controller). The pro's are the low price, small footprint and transportability. The con's are slow read/write times and noise. However, for the price, this external drive is good insurance for back ups and the read/write time isn't so bad if you do regular weekly back ups. Would I buy it again? You bet.

I bought this for my iMac (late-2015, 27" 5k). I DO think something need adjusted in the 'Settings', because frequently, when I put my Mac to Sleep, I receive a message that there was a failure with the backup to Time Machine. The price, storage capacity, and availability were great, and I am satisfied with the purchase. I do need to check settings, but not sure what to check (power management, etc.).

This 4 TB Drive is a dream come true. Based on its space and price, couldn't resist a price to good to be true, but actually is.. Actually had to buy the Windows version, but my macOS Disc Utility formatted it for my macOS Sierra in seconds. Worked right away, although the initial backup took up some time, but it was a TB Drive on my computer. Since then, backups automatically in just a few minutes, I love it is bus powered, small and work's perfectly! That doesn't happen too often in today's world.

Do you need storage for your overflowing 250gb laptop? Well look no further. Get yourself one of these bad boys. So much storage space you will have your laptop back down to its birth weight in no time.

Compact design and takes up litle space. Roughly 3"x4"x3\4". I have a "portable" at about 8"x8"x2" with only 1\5th the capacity that takes up all kinds of room. This WD Passport for Mac only, is a great replacement for that. Great pricing when I purchased it around black Friday. I have storage that should last for years,

This is a great little portable HDD. Was able to create backups of multiple computers with ease. So easy to store away and travel with. Highly recommend.

As companies have been upgrading their mini drive storage, I've been buying new one. This is a very nice 4TB drive although the case is a bit odd. Unlike previous versions of the WD My Passport drives, this has a slightly thicker case with sharp corners. That's just me quibbling. The quirk is that most manufacturers of these small drives think that it's logical to put the power/activity LED on the back near the USB port. If I want to check the LED, I have to pick up the drive and turn it around. Otherwise, a good drive, good value and good performance.

This product does what it says. It’s small and easy to carry around. It has plenty of storage space for everything I need. Especially my photos.

I use this external unit to store 4k video files from my iMac Pro. It has proved itself so reliable that this is the 7th unit that I have purchased. It is easy to set up and it is quiet. When this unit reaches full capacity, I will probably purchase another one. Best Buy personnel have always matched price on this when I have requested.

Nice slick design. This is our 3rd style from this brand. We just needed a ton more space. We take lots of photos.

When it comes to portable hard drives I always buy Western Digital. I've never had one fail on me. The only reason I keep buying them is that I need more storage. I bought this 4TB drive for my Xbox One for additional storage and it works without a hitch.

This is a great portable external drive by Western Digital. 4TB packs a lot for a little guy ! Best part is that it’s portable and powers itself through USB. Not solid state drive but still very affordable.

Great backup drive with a lot of storage to allow backup of your essential photos, videos, etc. This unit is compact and offers quick transfer.

This is a compact easy to use back-up solution for home use that has a physical footprint that makes it a great portable unit too. The price is right and my experience with Western Digital has always been good. A reliable reasonably priced storage solution.

This is a great product. Good quality and it has alot of space

I bought this as a gift for a family member, so it has not been hooked up and used yet. My history with WD hard drives is that they have longer warranties than competitors and last longer too. Hope my family member likes this one for her Mac.
