easy to use. worked great to make room in my laptop

I got one bad drive and WD had to send a warranty replacement, but that happens with every company (although WDs have been failing less than others; I stay away from drives from the Sea.... company). The reason I checked Yes for "recommend to friend" is that I have to choose yes or no, and my real answer is only 80% yes. I'm using this drive as a Time Machine backup on a Mac, and it's been working well for a couple of weeks now.

It arrived in time for a Valentines gift. My husband is pleased with how it works. His prior Toshiba external drive was a major disappointment. The Toshiba reverted to a read only and doesn't allow read/write. Hope My Passport continues to work properly as a read/write hard drive.

There's not a lot to be said to compliment something like an external hard drive but this one does the trick reliably. The design is nice but, if you're like me, this is a bit of a "set it and forget it" device. Which, if it proves to be that way, means it's doing it's job.

I bought this device to use as a Time Capsule Backup Device after my Apple Time Capsule failed and I needed to have a current backup before sending my MacBook Pro to the depot for repair. It worked flawlessly for the purpose that I bought it for.

Very simple to use with my IMAC. Very easy to use and transport.

Enough storage space for our needs for pictures and documents.

I Have been a WD user for sometime and hope continues to work

I purchased both the WD MyCLoud Home and the WD Passport for MAC and they don't work very well at all ... they are extremely slow and undependable ... it was a waste of money ... I did purchase a new 8TB Seagate and that works phenomenally with no problems or delays ...

We use this device for our photography storage. As a small business we can easily switch between the his and hers MacBooks and keep all of our session files in one location. The throughput is exceptional and the interface is quick and easy.

I find this new model of WD My Passport drive to be a bit larger than previous models, which is a shame given the fact that this is advertised as a portable drive. With that being said, it's still a good value and I trust WD drives more than the slightly cheaper Seagate drives anyday.

I have to say I have never had issues with WD drives. If taken care of properly, they will last a long time. I have had mulptiple WD passport drives work to perfection. Ultra quiet, fast transfers.

This external hard drive provides me with the security of knowing all my information is backed up. The memory size is perfect for the amount of data that I have been saving recently.

Just lost my hard drive in my PC and thanking the Lord right now for this purchase! EVERYTHING was backed up and saved and restored on new hard drive! A MUST HAVE!!!
