Not enough power through keyboard USB

My guess is that there may not have been enough power to run the external drive. When I connected it to another Mac it seemed to work just fine.

Needs sufficient power to run

The drive produced a clicking sound and couldn't be detected by the computer. When plugged directly into a laptop it did work fine so it does need enough power to work properly.
