Failed after one week
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Failed after one week. Returned to WD. They sent me back a refurbished one. Waste of money. Did not reconnect to my computer. My old Seagate was better and more reliable so I use that instead.

Back up once but there's no second time

Stuck on Read Me Only after set up

Then finally my Mac would not read the drive. Plus having to go online for the instructions was frustrating. I miss having the instructions inside the box.

Failed after 3 months

The WD icon on the dock was causing a wave effect on the screen. I could not access anything. When I removed the WD My Passport for Mac program everything turned back to normal.

Not a good purchase

Great choice for Time Machine

I've struggled finding one that was Mac compatible, relatively small, and didn't take an extra power supply for a long time. This one fit all my needs and I can highly recommend this one to someone else.

but an absolute disappointment

For OS X 10.13.4 and of course the further updates it will have problem because this is on WD side. The drive had started unmounting just voluntarily after the next regular OS X update. I requested help from the tech support and they started playing fools by advising me (c'mmon ppl!) to switch the USB ports on a HUB whatnot. Before it had turned into the endless break-repair game to and fro I sold the thing for good on CL. Why, it still covered with the warranty ain't it? Just do not buy it!
